The original song was composed by Hohepa Tamehana called "Born of Greatness" and is about finding strength in Te reo Maori (Maori language) and whakapapa (Lineage). Beautiful empowering waiata (song) and sung by Stan in that manner.

In New Zealand we encourage to keep the Maori language alive. It's taught in school. The Maori language is beautiful. Each word is so passionate. The traditional native songs and dance are so worth encouraging to pass them down to the next generation.

Stan wrote this song in reasponse to our NZ, govts attempts to remove, our Maori language. He's reminding us all, that we were noble, strong people, before colonisation. He's standing strong, in tribute to his tupuna(ancestors), who fought, and continue to fight, ao that we may remain, free. Free men and women, who are decended from chiefs and warriors.👊💪✊️🎯💯☝️
