That hike looked crazy. If you are ever there again, head to skier’s left once you get off strawberry gondola. You can get to a short but nice and steep chute. The closest trail on the map to it is called Lone Tree. I can’t remember if I had to actually take off my skis to get there. If I did, it was for only a short distance. Mostly traversing and side-stepping from what I recall. Maybe something to consider if you ever get back to Snowbasin.

I have been there in 2020 they had the olimpics there. The place that u hiked up was the Olympic run. You can see 4 states from the top of that Mountain. Also if you ski down the back of the mountain and there is a lot of snow you can ski all the way to Ogden. It is about 10 miles.

Sun valley is owned by the same guy and all the trails are open pretty much and the veiws are insane . It’s like a 4 hour drive and you have 7 days wit epic

i agree bryan! was definitely super impressed by the whole resort! PC conditions are honestly some of the worst here in utah in my opinion. I went to solitude the day after and that was pretty good too!

Going to miss Snowbasin this season (gave up my Epic Pass). Next time you go get there early and parkin Wildcat (if it's open). And yeah Moonshine is a blast even if the runout can be a bit sketch.

I chose the ikon over the epic but I'll be there w my parents for winter break. Love it there, moonshine goes hard when it snows a lot, they replacing middle bowl with a high speed lift. Not sure if I like that they are adding a hotel and extra parking, it will be super busy now.

Lol dude I would have crashed out somewhere else besides that little truck stop on the 84. There’s always a train going by. I go a lot to Snowbasin basin Nordic valley and powder mountain. Nordic valley is good if your having a broke week you can get a ticket for like $30 for a day

Hey man! If you’re referring to the van lifestyle I would honestly suggest renting one for a little bit and going on a trip! See how you like it! I started with a lot more simple GMC van before building my own like I did. I’m only a weekend warrior for now as I still have a basic 9-5 corporate job during the week!
