You scored big time, your timing was great!! That week it was a challenge getting around Tahoe with all the road closures. Definitely try to make a trip back to see all the beauty Tahoe has to offer!! I'm impressed you made it back to Reno without chains!! That pass down into Carson City is crazy!! I'm packing my van today and heading to Alta from Reno. The storms this week are going to miss Tahoe but it looks like Utah could get a few feet.

Yes it looks like more snow is in the forecast for us this week! Didn’t really check how much though. And yes I definitely need to get back to experience Tahoe in clear weather and when the mountains are all open! The pass down into Carson city was actually pretty clean. It was mostly just getting out of Tahoe that was the sketchy part. Have fun on your journey my friend and be safe 🙏🏽

Awesome video! I skied Heavenly and Kirkwood back in 2016. I was lucky enough to have a bluebird pow day at Heavenly and that place really lived up to its name! The views of the turquoise water in the lake while skiing were to die for. I gotta get back there!

A Bluebird day at Heavenly after 1-2 feet of snow, is how it got its name ! The mountain is the most scenic in the West with Lake views on the Cali side and the beautiful Mindon / Carson valley on the Nevada side at the top ! 😲😳😁

Nothing scarier than driving snow covered roads with a bunch of Californians! Epic powder Lucas, it has to be really cold for the powder to be good in the Sierras. I am partial to Mammoth. Higher elevation = better and more snow. Just don’t go on a weekend., week days you will have the place all to yourself. Great trip, thank you for sharing. Glad you made it safe that was a historic storm.
