I like the mat finish it does look nice. It works great on interior parts as well. I use flat, mat and high gloss depending on what I’m doing. Nice work👍

Another great video👍 I hear that Spectrum is pretty good for the money. Question for you. Does that 3M valve have a glass lense on the guage? My harbor freight ones have plastic lenses and they fog up when solvents get on them

since i have the old HF 29G air compressor i use that gun for base and no name brand spray gun by spray gunner for clear and does just fine i'll have to pick up a spray it lvlp to try

Great work buddy , spraying Matte terrifies me as hear in UK you always get bits in paint , I painted a panel last week and you would swear a cup of sand and bugs got threw in it so I had to wet sand the whole thing😂

It's from 4 years ago, when I used Jade green for a Ford Escape. So far, this GT Blue is the 3rd paintjob.. (original paint, jade green, gt blue) but I just sprayed metallic black, so now it's on its 4th 😅 Edit: actually 2 years ago! I was thinking of another paintjob. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKfWpninh81mfs0

I think in general the Spectrum guns from HF are a better deal than the black widow guns, I don't see anything you can't do with them. In my case, I've had almost as good luck with the chrome gun priced in the $75 range (though I've picked all mine up for $6x on sale) which I feel are 98% as good as the spectrum guns. GT, how does it feel having a paint named after you?

Ooof, it was a surprise seeing it, and what a beautiful color too! 😅 now I need to paint one of my own cars with it. The HF guns have come a long ways from the purple ones. I don't think people could tell the difference between a paintjob if it was painted with a spectrum or any other name brand guns. They do the work just as great, but at a budget friendly price👌

There lots of reasons to this matte clear. Patina being one of the most used on older vehicle restorations,, but also a lot of modern cars nowadays look great in a custom matte finish. Some would vinyl wrap their vehicle to get this finish, but are limited to color availability.. while this matte clear can be sprayed over most basecoat colors.
