Just randomly found this on my KZbin feed. As a Filipino living outside Manila, this has been very educational for me as while I've seen these sites while on the road, I've never took the time to explore them on foot. Good job and I hope you enjoy your stay here! Subscribed. ♥️

04:28 prior to Spanish rule, that area already existed for hundreds of years. By the time of Spanish arrival in late 15th centure it is the center of Rajah Soliman's Kingdom of Maynila. Across the river from there is Tondo headed by Lakandula.

Fort Santiago is an eye opener for young people like you that war should not happen again. As a young Japanese tourist, I suggest you visit Corregidor Island via a cruise ship. It’s a day tour that will give you a glimpse of World War II events.

You have to squeeze a calamansi or lime on your pancit canton to break the saltiness and you have to stir everything on your halo2x so that the ice would blend with the rest of the toppings. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Love your video! Thank you! I have not been to the Philippines since 1993 and Intramuros is definitely on my list to visit. I'm originally from there. Really loved to get a Japanese tourist's point of view of the area. BTW I lived in Okayama for 5 years so Japan is also very close to my heart

Hi. San Agustin Church was completed in 1607. It was damaged during World War 2 by either the Japanese or the Americans or both. It was designated as UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993.

i brought a German traveler and a Swiss traveler to the Manila Cathedral, they just looked bored. Then I thought, there are hundreds of Cathedrals and Churches in Europe. Intramuros is nice. But it doesnt like you travel back in time. Hanoi's Old Quarters is way more impressive. Fort Santiago is nice, but it feels like a theme park.

Too bad you were not able to visit the Japanese Garden in Rizal Park. It was a gift from the Japanese Government in the 1970s. There is also a Japanese Memorial Garden in Cavinti, Laguna which was gifted to the Philippines by the Japanese Government in the 1970s to commemorate the fallen of World War 2.

Not many of Japanese knows about what happened during World War 2 and the participation of Japan . Just wondering if the these were also being studied/taught in Japan for students? Or no?

Must have been uncomfortable for him as a Japanese esp if he visits Fort Santiago
True, most of the buildings were already recreated and/ or renovated... Because of World War 2. Manila was completely polvorised back then🤌
@alesh22754 ай бұрын
@@JarBacs the buildings in Intramuros are neither recreations nor renovations. They are fictional renditions of how we believe the buildings there should have looked like. In short, they’re are authentic as Disneyland buildings are.

ow since the Japanese destroy the intramuros in war, only fragments of the wall city was restored. If you really want to see the well preserved buildings with no alterations, visit vigan city esp the Calle crisologo, it's like your version of Ninenzaka in Kyoto
