- that orange flaky (the one with the samosa) called is just "patties" so flaky and u can never eat it without making any mess 😋 - fried falafel like pakora is called "Piyazu" its made any every house during ramadan and in normal day we get this from bazars.. soo yum😋😋 - I recommend you test "Shorshe illish" bengali dish and "Mezbani gosht", "Nihari" and "Kala Bhuna", "Fucka"-Bangladeshi version pani puri(better than that),"Halim" these are really seasoned and spicy so yum.

It's not samosa (which basically is a Indian snack), it's 'shomucha' or 'Shingara' which is much different than Indian samosa. That mutton rice is called 'Tehari' and the other rice dish is called 'morog polao'. The black thingy is called 'chola' typically being eaten during Ramadan in Bangladesh. And that overfried pakora is 'Piyaju/Daaler bora'. The first thing you ate was 'patties'. Thanks for trying Bangladeshi food though! 😊 Much love!

Yoooo thanks for eating Bangladeshi food, didn't expect to see it at all. The falafel looking thing is called piyaju, made with lentils, we eat it in evening. The second dish with samosa was Pettis I believe, and the beans you saw with the chicken biryani,which should be called pulao btw, we eat that in evening too with puffed rice and piyaju and some other fried veggies and mis them together to make a mash of some sort. Tehari looks nice btw. Would have loved if they gave you Hilsa(elish) fish instead of that fish. Nice review

Normally Bangladeshi food is like Indian food and is really spicy, I think the place u ate from took a subtler approach. And the "Beans" are really called "Chola" and I guess the food here is AMERICANLY made since shammi kebabs are kinds smaller, the beef in tehari is usually like berry sized and the fish is normally like 1/4 but they do exist in that size but as for the chicken, it was huge, the chicken we eat is like 1/3 of that at most.
