From what I learned travelling in Muslim world in China 600/700 years old Masjid considered as not old Masjid….. because there are so many 1000 ++ years old Masjid in China ….. but I like the new Masjid in China … high rise Masjid 10/12 level high Masjid…. Ground floor… halal shopping complex.. halal restaurants, halal butcher..clinic, Jenazah room…etc etc “2/3/4 floors Main prayer hall 5/6/7 floors Madrasah religious school…. 8/9/10/11/12 floors is apartments muslim father n mother, grandparents to stay .. so they can revive thy religion education.. and have doctor and Masjid official to take of them… paid by the children n grandchildren… Very very close Muslim community…. I know this because I use to visit my wife grandparents apartment at Xian Shande lu Hui min Mosque near The Xian Drum tower
