You will find many of the Indian movies are not just one genre, but a good few sometimes several. We've had music in the movies for many decades. The actors lip sync to the songs. The original singers 'Playback Singers' are famous in their own right and very well respected.

Brilliant movie. One of my favourites. Great reaction. Glad you enjoyed it so much. If you want to watch something completely different but just as good for very different reasons I strongly recommend Sardar Udham. A biographical masterpiece set primarily in India and England. I promise it will rock your world.
