Yo folks, I really feel we should not suggest the classic comedy movies like golmal or hera pheri or welcome. They are only funny to us because we get the cultural differences. We understand the difference between a gujarati person speaking hindi and a mumbaikar speaking hindi. It’s funny to us cuz we know what “Arey jaldi bol kal subah Panvel nikalna hai.”, “Utha le re baba”, Aadi-Manav as brothers and all mean. All the comedy is lost in translation. Reading captions when the actual fun part is the dialect or cultural nuance kind of makes the movie flat and unfunny to non-natives. Then it’s just boring.

Fun fact: this movie is taught in China and South Korean for educational purpose. They watch it in middle school. Since you've already reacted to the OG Bollywood 1995 romcom classic: DDLJ, I recommend watching Jab We Met or Chennai Express, which has visible influence from that film. Jab We Met actually has the same actress who played Pia in this film (Kareena Kapoor).

This song is the anthem song for us students, specially us early Gen Z. 13:22 it's actually. And the song contains very deep sorrow, stress , different issues it's like a slogan. Almost everything is real from location to story and there's a guy Wangdu scientist 🥼 he did so many invention in Ladakh. And at last the lake is Pangong lake.

Fact: The first choice for Ranchos character was SRK. SRK could not sign the film due to time management, later the film was signed by Amir Khan

The movie would NOT have done itself justice if SRK had been the one employed for the role. This role demands a unique kind of character, humour and charisma that only Aamir Khan could have brought to the table. I'm not saying SRK couldn't have acted well, I'm just saying that the character of Rancho would have had a completely different vibe if it had been SRK that did the role instead. Aamir Khan brought this movie the fame and unique beauty it well-deserved.
