Ah yes, the lawsuit arc. I think both of their feelings and thought-processes are understandable, but Buck should not have gone directly to suing Bobby. Can't really blame him for acting emotionally though, especially with the lawyer doing everything to convince him it's the right thing. Bobby is definitely wrong too, and it's clear he's holding Buck back because he sees him as a son and is scared that he'll make the same mistakes as Bobby did.

Buck is and was mostly in the right here. Bobby was projecting his own fears on to him, and holding back his career because medically speaking light work would have only caused a greater chance of clotting and Buck was already cleared for regular work by his doctor and the screws in his leg caused the embolism. It had nothing with Buck being on thinners or not taking the amount of time, because at this point it has been months of recovery time. However Buck should have went to his union rep first and they would have told Bobby that legally he can't hold Buck's career back because of medical discrimination laws.

Okay! This ep is HARD. 1. The number of lockers in that room and he gives her BUCK’S?! Without clearing it with him and lets her just tape over his name?! Shady AF! There’s no way that was the one and only free locker! He also should of told Buck he was hiring Lena to fill in. Letting him find out that way was shitty. (Before anyone says they were a man down!, I’ll remind you of something!) when Chim was out with rebar to the brain, the team were down a guy and Eddie wasn’t even there yet! They managed! So bringing in a replacement for Buck wasn’t really necessary. 🤷‍♀️ but if they were going to do it, someone either Bobby or his best friend should of warned Buck. As for the lawsuit. While yeah it was extreme to just go to suing, I think Buck did say he tried to talk to the union and they shut him down without saying why and that’s when Bobby said he was behind the constant rejection so if that’s the case. It makes sense why he’s just sue. He could have had him on light duty. He let Chim come back a month after rebar went through his brain and as the tsunami proved one cut wasn’t going to kill him! All he needs to work on blood thinners is surgical glue! I’ll also point out to those saying “well that was dumb as now he can’t talk to anyone” the whole reason he did it is because no one has spoken or visited him in ages! Eddie only comes by to drop Chris off and pick him up, and Chim is on team Maddie who thinks he shouldn’t go back. So he isn’t really losing out on anything there.

Buck is completely in the right to fight for himself when no one else will. I hate that they make Buck grovel for forgiveness for the rest of time. The only person i give a pass to, to be angry is Eddie and only on Chris' behalf

Honestly I think the fact that he just went through a tsunami might be why its best to wait a little to have buck back. Now on top of the blood thinners he has new trauma and possibly more damage to his legs. On the condition he was in he rescued multiple people, ran for blocks looking for Christopher. Who knows what type of bodily damage that caused him.

Both sides has mistaken, Buck for not having patience for waiting to be back fully healed and Bobby has mistaken for crossing the line not telling Buck before what he have done and not letting Buck make his own decisions and deal with it at his own way

He was cleared though? Once he’s been cleared his sick pay stops so he can’t just sit back and twiddle his thumbs until Bobby gets over his fears. He also proved how capable he is in the tsunami. Gash on his arm, and he still saved I don’t know how many people both on the truck and on his journey to find Chris. 🤷‍♀️

@@Pedro_MoraesX and he passed the requirements from the LAFD. He just kept being rejected because unbeknownst to him Bobby kept refusing to sign off on it. That was the final step. The physical part he was cleared, but he needed Bobby to sign off and the higher ups and it was Bobby’s refusal that kept causing the rejection.

And as an extra kick, because Bobby kept refusing, it means he couldn’t just transfer, because that would also need to be signed off by Bobby, and no way would Bobby do that. So really what option did he have.

Honestly I think Bobby has a hard time cause he cares soooo much about Buck. For whatever reason Buck became his pseudo son.

ugh the next episode or two makes me sad and infuriated at the same time lol i would say both bobby and buck are in the wrong because bobby should've just not delay his return since he was already cleared by the doctors and buck should not have sued them in the first place cause there was probably a better solution to his problem

Ugh!😢 I remember this arc breaking my heart the first time I watched it.💔 And while I could see both sides, I leaned toward Bobby's side. Buck showed exactly why Bobby was hesitant to bring him back. He was too impatient & made rash decisions. I was like, now Buck, let's say you win the suit, do you think anybody's gonna wanna work with you?!?! After you sued Bobby?!?! And the whole ass fire department?!?! You didn't really think this through did you?🤦🏾‍♀️

I'm on bobby's side,because even tho Buck was clear to work,he tends to not think and just acts (he is young and inmature,I know...),and like bobby said,he has other 20 firefighters to worry about,Buck needs to learn that sometimes desk duty is the best. (I understand that he feel betrayed,but that is what I'm saying,he acts and doesn't thing about the consequences,now he can't talk to Eddie,to Chim,to Hen,etc...)

desk duty is not actually recommended while on blood thinners due to increase risk of blood clots.
