When Lisa became a trainee under YG, she already had a decade of dance under her belt and had been in dance competitions. When it comes to dance she is a perfectionist. The clips of her mentoring are from a show called Youth To You. These people are competing so she wants them to be their very best. If she let's small mistakes go they will keep practicing it wrong. She also praises them as well. There are compilations called Lisa as a mentor in a nutshell you can watch. She has been mentoring YGs new girl group, Baby Monster, in dance.

BLACKPINK will be the 6th female artist, first girl group, first Kpop act, and first Asian artist to *headline* at Coachella, being the headliner for the 2nd day & 2nd weekend of Coachella 2023 (Bad Bunny is headlining the 1st and Frank Ocean the 3rd....making this the first ever all-non-White headliner lineup in Coachella history). They performed at Coachella in 2019 as subliners (Ariana Grande was the headline that year) and now they are headlining... rose speaks fluent english LMAO. she was born in new zealand and raised in nz/australia (that's why she has the aussie accent), so it's kinda inevitable that she would be fluent in english. when she was answering the question on how she spoke english there was a hint of sarcasm in it bcs it's ridiculous to have asked that. i don't know why so many people find that so surprising, she was literally raised in an english speaking country like?? its like asking an american who was born in raised in the states if they speak english. 3/4 of them speak fluent english, jisoo struggles with confidence speaking english but she understands most english. lisa speaks thai (bcs she is thai and from thailand), korean, english, japanese and chinese. jennie also speaks fluent english bcs she lived in new zealand for a large portion of her life.

22:01 you are right here! she treats the trainees tough whenever needed because lisa's journey was on whole another level in the group (if you watch lisa: the documentary film, you:ll know) she came to a foreign country at a very young age, she worked harder than anyone because there were many barriers, she was the first foreign trainee and idol in her company. Now she's named as one the best dancers in kpop and one the most famous and successful kpop idol in the world (also most followed kpop idol on instagram) so clearly she doesn't take any of it lightly. It wasn't for clout or anything in the show, but if you watch the whole show you'll know how she moulded them into the person they are now which is quite successfully debuted idols in china and she's the sweetest with them. Mentor lisa is everything a mentor should be and we need in our life.

They have positions if that helps you out a little better and gives you better insight! In KPOP all members are given positions (although now positions in groups are starting to go away - due to these rookies having monster talent!) It goes in this order: Main, then lead, then sub. Blackpinks positions are Jisoo - Lead vocalist, visual (visual - meaning the prettiest member of the group according to Korean beauty standards.) Jennie - Main rapper, lead vocalist Rose - Main vocalist, lead dancer Lisa - Main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocalist, maknae (Korean for "youngest") Rose is the main vocalist, Jennie is the main rapper, and Lisa is the main dancer. But they are all talented in all areas!!
