Just to be clear. BTS have never asked the fandom to do ANY of rhe charities or groups that are created now. The fandom is so enspired by what BTS has done to change our lives that it's done voluntarily and out of our own fruition. NOT because BTS asked us to do it. They don't make their donations public unless media uncovers the details about it. Crops of accounts( borahae entertainment, army lawyer account, medical accounts, mental health accounts etc) on Twitter have been created that BTS never headed or asked Armies to make

Well, they did ask us to donate where there's need or to spend on ourselves the money we used to spend on gifts for them, when they announced they won't accept gifts anymore and fans could only send them letters.

RM had a #1 ALBUM, V's #1 is a song. iTunes has multiple charts for genres, different countries & album and song charts are separate as well. Typically what they mean by multiple #1s is that it was #1 in multiple countries.

When it says "most #1s in iTunes history" its talking about throughout the world. So in total there are 195 countries in the world, V's song Sweet Night was #1 in 118 countries which made history for the most #1s on the iTunes chart. RM's record was for the ALBUM with the most #1s (121 countries) not individual song, so that's where its different. Jimin's song was the fastest to get to #1 in 100 countries on iTunes.

Every type of dance is difficult and requires a great discipline, trust me, nothing is easy about contemporary, that doesn't take away from the fact that j-hope style is also very difficult. Contemporary requires a lot of strength and flexibility, hours and hours of work.

21:55 - “Are they old enough to drink?” At the end of the video they showed little clips from their annual Festa, which is the anniversary of their debut. The clip where they are drinking is from June 2018 so at that time the youngest, JK, was 20 (international age). American sometimes don’t realize that the majority of the rest of the world has the legal drinking age of 18 or 19. It’s only the US and a couple of other more restrictive countries have legal drinking ages of 21.

You can tell they know nothing about dance because sure it’ll come down to preference but contemporary dancing is very hard to learn but also beautiful as it incorporates ballet movements and emphasizes lines which are important. Jimin is great at both styles but he’s at his best when he does contemporary dance and I’m a bit miffed that they disregarded it.

@@kunikuzushis Yeah it could just be preference, but I can't help but think that some men dislike contemporary dancing because they associate it with being feminine. Normal things like complimenting each other, showing affection to each other and yes, even contemporary dancing are often regarded as not manly enough. Which is so sad imo. It's one of the reasons why I love BTS so much. They don't give a f about societal standards and they keep doing their own thing.

You're spot on. It's nearly 2023 & people are still clinging to rigid, outdated gender stereotypes. Of course, any type of dancing while singing requires incredible strength, stamina & discipline, but high-level ballet & contemporary dance require orders of magnitude more. I always chuckle when I hear (usually male), reactors say that Jimin is good at aerials because of his martial arts training - it doesn't seem to occur to them that it could be the reverse: he might have excelled at martial arts, in part, because of his rigorous dance training. As I recall, when these guys reacted to the snippet where B. Free insulted RM & Suga about wearing stage makeup, they remarked how common that kind of BS is, but their response was that they wouldn't have let them get away with saying it to their faces & mimed a punch. i.e. More performative macho posturing, instead of calling it out for what it was: homophobia & misplaced aggression because of deep insecurities about B. Free's own masculinity and skill. To be clear, I don't blame these guys. Some of it is just preference & some of it is just ignorance about dance. It's all learned, though, & if we can learn these regressive things, we can also unlearn them. BTS model exactly that. In their early career they had a ton of feigned machismo imposed on them by Big Hit & assumptions about Hip Hop culture, alongside typical fraternal policing around, "manliness." Thankfully, these seven men seem to have grown out of all that.

19:45 Tbh, BTS has never really "called on ARMY" to donate anything anywhere. I think the only one I can think of is the Love Yourself campaign in partnership with UNICEF. Other than that, ARMYs took it upon themselves to do charities and @OneInAnArmy helped vet and keep track of the charities. I've been a part of MANY fandoms but I've never seen one so organized and goal orientated. And for such good causes.

I'm sure others have probably already answered on the other parts - but the finger gesture is a small heart - and it is not specific to BTS, very common in South Korea and other areas but is just another way to gesture a heart for love. Thanks for checking this out. and the iTunes chart thing.... each country has it's own iTunes chart for songs and albums and then for song and album types, so some of the records you saw were "most no. 1's" which means they had no. 1 on iTunes in the most countries, one was specifically about Original Sound Tracks (OSTs) on iTunes - so basically ARMY bought the song on iTunes and it was trending/charting in the 1st place in the most countries. Hope that makes sense LOL it is late here when I am trying to type it out. Anyway, thanks!

I can see that you know nothing about dancing or singing too. Contemporary dancing is extremely difficult and absolutely beautiful, it's okay to prefer a style of dancing over the other however you don't have to put down another style of dancing. Also I've never felt like you are interested in BTS as a whole more like BTS rap line which is fine to prefer rapping over singing or singing over rapping but BTS is a group and every member should be appreciated. I feel like there is a lot of "toxic masculinity" in this channel. For example, I felt like you were bored or uncomfortable when the members were talking highly about each other, or putting down contemporary dancing because you probably think it's feminine. I don't mean any hate with my comments but that's how I felt during the whole reaction to this guide.

So how the most iTunes #1s works is most countries have an iTunes (and Spotify) chart, so based on sales and streams it's ranked 1-100, the more globally popular the song/album is, the more it tops a chart in a different country. So #1 US, #1 UK, #1 Canada etc. So some songs/albums go #1 in 4 countries and others set the record at #1 in 121 countries (Mono- RM) The reason you keep seeing this achievement among the members is that they beat each other's records as a solo or group.

Jimin he is a style dancer contemporary and Kpop is more free dance, hip-hop street dancing and BTs came with a more hip-hop vibe. JImin rehearsed for hours and hours to exhaustion before debuting. The company insisted more on Jimin learning to dance these most sought-after styles in Kpop Jimin barely took singing lessons at first. The company had a very low budget. Jimim brought elements of contemporary dance to BTs, which also makes them unique. and many groups today have added classical dance to their routines. Additionally, BTs have expanded into other music genres. And he advanced his voice a lot too.

The #1s on iTunes refers to the number of countries a particular song/album has reached the #1 spot on the charts. So, let’s say, V’s “Sweet Night” which is an OST for a Korean drama holds the record for reaching #1 for the most number of countries’ iTunes Charts (I believe the count is 119 countries or something like that).

The last clip of ARMYs singing gives me goosebumps every time. To put it into perspective non-Korean ARMYs (since the concert was at Wembley) sand a korean song to them. Their staff wanted to create a core memory for all of them and while the members were backstage preparing for their next songs they told army their plan of them playing their song "Young Forever" (a song which means a lot to them, so much that Jimin has a tattoo of it) when the text "ARMY SING" would appear on the screen. They were supposed to close with another song so when they heard this song play the assumed it was a mistake but they got surprised when the heard ARMYs singing it. It was a total surprise and most of them cried that day :'')

Because that's just how the world goes now, we stir away from the fact that all of us have different tastes, and really all it takes is to be open-minded and understand. That's why one of the main pieces of information about your voice is your vocal range, which is known throughout Kpop. with 4 octaves. It is the most extensive of the group and one of the most extensive in Kpop. V is a non-classical baritone. they call baritone legends, there is a list of 100 baritone voices in the world with this classification that the timbre is baritone, but the support, excluding the vocal range, is in tenor notes. @@gudly8 OK, before a fight starts, let me confirm - when you said "is insane if you don't realize that" are you criticizing them for not knowing how the itune system works, or do you mean that the stat itself is insanely impressive? Because I read your comment the first way and thought you were being a little impatient. People are upset that they are asking the same questions in the third vid as were answered in the first two, but do we know for sure they filmed these three parts at different times? They are wearing the same clothes in all three. I think they just filmed the whole thing and then split it into 3 videos - which means answers in the comments wouldn't help with parts 2 and 3. 🤷‍♀

I’m excited all three parts are up! I would love for you to see Jhope’s Lollapalooza (I definitely understand from a logistic standpoint of doing each song individually but the vibe you get from watching the entire performance from start to finish really creates such a cohesive story 😅). Or I would LOVE to see a MMA 2019 reaction! But I don’t think that’s what Bobby is wanting to see since those aren’t mentioned in this guide lol. Hmmm, I’m going to guess Jungkook’s My Time performance. If you’re going to react to that, please be careful when watching a clip of it online! Due to copyright, a lot of the clips cut out his dance break! If you need a version with the whole performance, I have both days 1 and 2 from their ON:E online concert that I can share with you. Maybe you guys can post that on Patreon one day 😜 Looking forward to the next reaction! 💜💜💜

There are a few fun ones where the vocal line joined the rap line rappjng Ddaeng. Also the vocal line performing Daechwita with the rap line in the 2021 Muster Sowoozoo, Jimin with Suga performing Tony Montana to list a few. The 3 raplines (rm, suga, jhope), you can say, are the pillars of the band as they are, in order, is the main writer, producer and dancer among the members. I'm just telling you when you find out that they wear cute looking flashy or pink outfits, dye their hair and stuff, that's just how kpop culture and industry is done. (remember when the undergroup hiphop community lashout rm and suga?). so the company is working on that. the duality between Suga and Agust D is crazy sometimes

Eesh idk about saying one form of dance is better than the other when both forms of dancing are very very difficult. Especially contemporary which some may argue is extremely hard. It’s ok to have preferences…but saying “do hip-hop” is probably not the best thing to say. Especially during black swan where all of them dance in a contemporary style which inhanches the song imo.

I think V's song hit #1 on iTunes in 112 (?) countries/territories around the world. I think Adele had the record for 105 countries before V's song topped her record. 💜 BTS has never asked us to donate to anything. We just take inspiration from them. #OneInAnArmy just has a guide to different places that need money/help and we can choose from that. I do local charity work for the guys birthdays every year, and I know lots of others who do the same.

2:00 Outside of classical music, the simplest way to think of voices is to think of three types. The voice types, from highest to lowest: Men: Tenor - Baritone - Bass Women: Soprano - Alto - Contralto Voice classification comes from the world of operatic singing. There, it's very precise, includes sub-categories based on both tonal characteristics & timbre. Also, techniques like falsetto can be used to alter/extend one's, "natural," range. Think of it as the range between the highest & lowest notes you can sing before your voice, "breaks." They're determined by specific frequencies, but there's overlap, because human voices don't fit into neatly defined boxes. For example, all four BTS vocal line members can & do sing in the tenor range, but V/Taehyung's natural register is baritone, which is esp. evident in his speaking voice. Most modern Pop music producers favour the tenor range for male singers - you're more likely to hear baritone singing in R&B (or Country).

But isn't Jin alto(acc to some pro singers and vocal coaches), and Jimin contra?
@goreyfantod5213
@goreyfantod5213 2 жыл бұрын
@@Ann--or1dk I haven't heard any reactors say that, but in operatic music, voice types are strictly gender-separated. It's very dependent on knowing a person's natural vocal range (aka tessitura). This requires singing the scale & marking the precise note at which the voice, "breaks," (aka the passaggio). For tenors, it's C3 to C5 on the scale. Timbre & tone are more subjective, which is why there are subcategories for voices that stretch beyond the natural passaggio and/or have different tonal characteristics. There are several different systems & traditions for classifying voices, so I went with basic, non-operatic choral structure. I think most opera experts would scoff at me for suggesting using a simplified three main types for men & women. It would be more like: Men: countertenor - tenor - baritone - bass Women: coloratura - soprano - mezzosoprano - contralto I'm definitely not an expert, just an informed amateur, but by any definition I've seen, Jin is a tenor. My guess is he'd be classed as a lyric tenor, but possibly a spinto. I suspect Jimin's is a more difficult voice to classify. We know that BTS' main producer, PDogg, prefers tenor singing. We also know that Pop music, at present, also favours higher frequencies in human & synth voices (possibly to balance out heavy use of sub-bass frequencies overall). It's common knowledge that Jimin started out with the least amount of vocal training from the company, but I believe he's been encouraged and/or pushed to develop the highest part of his natural register in order to fit the style of BTS' music. He's clearly able to sing above C5 in full (not falsetto), voice, so he may be a countertenor, but we've only had glimpses of his lower singing register. His speaking voice isn't particularly high & he's beat himself up repeatedly in the past for hitting his passaggio in live performances. I think of Jimin's vocal technique as a high wire act; regardless of his voice type, it requires enormous skill & breath control for the vast majority of men to sing (let alone sustain), the range that he regularly hits. It's no wonder to me that he has had difficulty with voice breaks when dancing; it would be more remarkable if he hadn't & it's a testimony to his dedication & discipline that they're so infrequent.

@@goreyfantod5213 I don't know anything about vocals. You clearly know so much :)... But I've seen professionals categorize them as such. Jimin as contratenor and Jin as alto-tenor...(which makes sense since they are the highest ranges in the group, both higher than JK who is a tenor) And yes, their vocal abilities are amazing! And I'm so proud of all of them too😊

And again.... the finger thing is a heart and means I love you. In recent years, a Korean import has become the gesture of choice: the 'finger heart'. Formed by slightly overlapping the thumb and index finger into a heart shape, the gesture is believed to have originated with actress Kim Hye-soo in 2010.
