Everyone misses the fact that Qui gon was stabbed through the heart and spine. Sabine was stabbed in the gut to one side. Not a lethal blow.

Qui Gon was alive on the ground for like 30 minutes. He did not die immediately. Also, Sabine got hit in the intestines/kidney. Qui Gon was hit in the vitals.

For the hinting about Sabine being trained, remember that the Force is in all living things. The Jedi and sith just historically took those who were more adept in usage of the force (IE: it came to them more naturally)There are likely people who are milder in sensitivity and as such require more training and dedication to hone their usage of the Force. Also, fun fact are the 2 fighters that try to stop Sabine in the beginning are taken right out of the old Legends continuity, the E-Wing Starfighter which in the old canon was meant to replace the X-Wing.

I think of it like athleticism and scholarships. Everybody is inherently athletic. Some are just born with far more gifts and a way higher ceiling than others. Those are the ones that are recruited to go to the next level. Same as sports. But everyone is capable of running and jumping like them if they truly try

Huyang is over 25,000 years old. Like Hector said, he appeared shortly after the Jedi Order was founded. Maybe we'll see him in the James Mangold Dawn of the Jedi movie. Also, so glad these reactions are finally on KZbin! Been waiting for them!

the scene where sabine sees ashoka's ship arriving is a recreation of the rebel's epilogue, which does mirror the opening scene of rebels where we see ezra in that exact same position watching a star destroyer coming down to the planet. (it's after this scene that ezra meets up with the ghost crew and starts getting trained as a jedi. i believe that filoni was hinting to us all those years ago that Sabine was going to be following a similar path as she leaves there to meet ahsoka and leaves shortly after as her padawan)

a little note on the force sensitive thing. all living beings are force sensitive, the force lives in all things. anyone who is anyone can learn to wield the force. its just easier for people with high midiclorian count. the only reason why theres such a contrast between normal people and a jedi, is that some people are born with way more midicolorians than they should, the jedi sought out those people, and recruited them. its not a common thing. to think hundreds of planets, the vastness of space in a galaxy, you only find 1 person with high M.count every hundred planets.

The fact that Sabine found some of her drawings in a bunk in Ahsokas ship, proves she had got on it previously, which was the end of Rebels. The scene in question was just a familiar place to meet up. Also the fact that they said she was training Sabine, also indicates the passage of time between the end of Rebels and now.

Great to see this one up! I agree with Hector at 22:26, and I think Sabine definitely benefits from that pacing, like in that very scene. As she looks at her drawings, and since they're the same style as in Rebels, anyone who's seen Rebels can reflect right alongside her. That moment (along with the music) really hit me on first viewing.

Been a subscriber a long time!! I have had fun with a lot of your videos, so just some gentle criticism, but my goodness, I would save the discussion, especially off-topic and long winded, until AFTER watching the episode. Just a thought, a lot of people enjoy watching reaction videos because of the first impression aspect. It’s hard to imagine watching this for the first time when there’s so much talking during very important moments of the show, plot, points, dialogue.. there's no time jump in rebels.... only the ending scene were sabine talks ,they time jump to this time ... yes, that scene was in rebels, but in the ending... when we first meet Ezra, there's at star destroyer overhead..

That Sabine song was cool, we don't get much that diagetic music in Star Wars anymore since like the OT. I can't even remember much from Clone Wars or Rebels, no Figran Dan and The MOdal Nodes or Max Rebo and Sny Snootles in Jabba's palace. One of my favorite bits of Jedi Survivor is they add a bunch of Star Wars electronica in the cantina of the hub world that was legit good, not to mention that the whole score for that game was amazing. It is a bummer so many people had tech issues that it over shadowed how good the game was. I had no major issues on my playthrough at launch but NG+ had a few. It one of the few games I finished multiple plays of last year and right up there in fun for with BG3.

Huyang was built around 25,020 BBY. He served the Jedi Order for centuries as a lightsaber architect, assisting Jedi younglings in constructing their own weapons. The droid himself claimed to have been doing so for over a thousand generations. Huyang's exact origins were shrouded in mystery, prompting younglings to spread rumors about how he came to serve the Jedi Order. In 22 BBY, shortly after the beginning of the Clone Wars, one group of initiates preparing to go on the Gathering believed that he had somehow arrived at the Jedi Temple in a large blue box thousands of years before he had ever taught lightsaber construction. All this is from the Wiki and the "Blue Box" is a nod/easter egg to David Tennant's time as Dr. Who.

Regarding whether or not Rebels is required viewing for Ahsoka, I think they did a good enough job that you would understand what is happening without watching Rebels, but I don't think you'd care without watching Rebels

timeline wise rebels ran from 5bby to 1bby. a new hope takes place is 0bby. the current year in which the show is set is in 9aby (so its been 10 years since the end of rebels.)

"Qui Gon died immediately when he got stabbed!" I know this is months later, but come on Agustin. He was stabbed in the chest, center mass, down through the spine. At worst, Sabine's liver or kidneys got singed. And Qui Gon lay there for minutes while Obi-Wan fought Maul. Like, I'm tired, so damn tired, of the "lightsabers are pathetic" complaints these days. I will not excuse Anakin not being thorough during Order 66, Reva shouldn't have lived long enough to become a problem for later Vader, but if Vader had wanted her dead, he would have done so, he knew her spirit was broken. And the Grand Inquisitor living through what Reva did to HIM? Easy. He's an alien. She probably cause some damage that he needed to recover from, but it's so easy to say "Oh, you thought you stabbed me in the heart? Study Utapauan anatomy next time." Lightsaber damage is inconsistent anyway. Just ask the poor schmuck who had to mop up Ponda Baba's blood off the floor of the Mos Eisley cantina.
