35:45 It's a play on an old phrase. When you just go completely feral and stop caring about any injuries that you may receive and all you can think about is killing what is in front of you, that is called "seeing red." The titan was an abnormal, yes, and it was really fast and savage, it mowed through a dozen scouts before Levi lost his cool himself. Abnormal can mean any number of things when applied to titans. Normal titans just move in a straight line to eat the closest human, and a lack of humans just makes them go into Roomba mode and wander. Some abnormals jump, some worship a body in a tree, some fixate on a single human and chase them nonstop, some are just pure rage... And, as Armin said, sometimes you have to become a monster to stop monsters. When Levi becomes a monster, the very world should be in fear.

This OVA adds more context to the episode "Bite", where Levi told Eren to make a decision he will least regret as nobody knows what will happen despite what decision one makes. Levi was talking from experience. At the beginning he wanted Furlan and Isabel to remain as he doubted that they will survive out in Titan territory(this is the doubt that Erwin brought up), but then decided to have faith in them and allow them to come along. Their first time fighting a Titan was a success and they came out alive, just like in the forest of giant trees when Eren decided to trust in his comrades, which allowed them to catch the female titan. The second time Levi decided to put "faith" in them and left them alone, they got killed, just like when Eren decided to trust the Levi squad the second time, they also got killed. It's a call-back to the Levi squad telling Eren to "have faith in them" just like Furlan & Isabel asked Levi to "have faith in them". Both Levi and Eren made the same decision of trusting in and putting faith in their comrades, and regretted trusting them the 2nd time. Such a great parallel.

That one part of them talking about "have faith in us" is the same thing said to eren from Levi's pov in s1 when annie was chasing them. Thats why levi said "but no one ever knows how it will turn out.

Since you watched this OVA, you will get more subtle hints that were harder to pick up in the future episodes. But like with the female titan, he told Eren to make a decision he’ll regret the least… everything he says it comes from Levi’s past experience. Great reaction yet again guys, keep them coming!

At 32:07 I love the almost instant compassionate uptake from the guy on the right (I'll learn your names soon!). While it's undoubtly a great piece of animation and show of Levi's badassery, I watched many other reactors who were just hyping and screaming at that, without really taking in the emotional devastation Levi felt in that moment

Yeah Levi's OVA was f*** amazing. The amount of emotion we got to see from him was so refreshing to see, since levi is such an emotionless character. Now we know why he is the way he is and why the death of his current comrades don't get him as physically emotional. He lost almost everyone

Love the reactions and just wanted to share some extra info regarding some of the Vets. Miche is older and has been in the Scouts longer than Erwin. (about 2-3 yr difference) As you know, his nose is incredibly useful but when he was a new and green Scout, no one believed him when he said he could smell the titans. It made him very pessimistic and made him feel useless. Erwin is described in the manga version of No Regrets as "an ambitious military ladder-climber and political prodigy" and I"ll stop there cuz you will learn more about him. But he is my favorite character. The age difference between Erwin and Levi is 3-4 yrs and as far as blackmailing goes Erwin still does it and has done it to get some good quality tea for Levi. XD

One thing I love about Erwin is that he keeps people around him who don't see him as a king and will openly disagree with him. As much loyalty as Levi, Hange and Miche have toward Erwin, if they think he's wrong or they have a diff idea, they will tell him. Another thing you guys mentioned was how much some people look like other people. The hair and clothing is obviously related to culture and trends but what I find interesting is how similar a lot of people's facial features look. There are many people who look like Bertolt or Jean for example but nobody really looks like Mikasa because she's the last of her race. You'll find all kinds of evidence of genetic similarity, and diversity, if you keep your eyes peeled for it. ☺️

Since you’re moving forward with the show just want to tell you that sometimes the opening/ending has some spoilers so it’s better for you to ask before when it will be ok to watch it , the songs in this show is one of the best things on it and enjoying it while watching is so fun but it’s better to avoid spoilers

@@syalamontana2508 Yeah i think it’s all about preference , if you want to watch the back stories on the release order or chronological order , but it’s quite hard and confusing watching this show on a chronological order , personally i think watching no regret before season two doesn’t spoil anything it’s just giving you half of the story so later on you’ll watch the other half , I recommend watching it before season two , at the end they released it on this order for a reason and you’ll be catching the little moments faster and you’ll understand the character better cuz you saw the given story at that time
