yes she said the wings were SUPER heavy and also the oil pit stuff was apparently freezing cold. the song is about climate change and how Earth is basically turning into hell with global warming (oil spill imagery, "hills burn in California, don't say I didn't warn ya", "man is such a fool, why are we saving him?", etc). I picture her singing it as Lucifer, the fallen angel, so when she says "my Lucifer is lonely" she comes up to earth to revel in the ruins, dance in the fire, etc. pretty metal stuff but it's still such a bop lol

There is a certain simplicity in Billie's videos that I appreciate. They are complex and simple at the same time. And the message of this song is one of my favorites from Billie. She's talking about climate change, and I think that's part of Aurora's influence on her. I wish more artists talked about important things like this.

I'm new to Billie too, just started listening in May 2024. Surprised that I could be pulled in, but once I realized I loved her, I used Wikipedia to make some Spotify playlists, starting with Billie Before WWAFAWDWG, moving forward, watching the music videos that go with that, maybe looking for an interview from that period. It's a great journey.
