What you should know about that song is that they talk about the time BTS (at least a couple of the members)thought seriously about disbanding when they were soring high ! And if you knew their bond, you would understand the pain they are expressing in this song!!😢

It's best live and I was there at that concert. Their live performance's are far better than their studio versions. Oh and it's not about a Romantic Break Up like many people think when they first hear it. It's about their feeling when they talked about disbanding at a very difficult period they were hitting the hights, they were over tired eg no time to take off to rest, facing hatred left, right and centre so they discussed the pressure was just too much at that time and talked about disbanding. But after this was written by the 3 of them, it's their individual thoughts of what disbanding ment to them and Suga played it for them all to hear. They all broke down in tears and admitted disbanding was not what they really wanted to do.

Tear is one of my favorites. It sounds like they are talking about a romantic breakup, but they are referring to a time when they considered breaking up as a group. The rap line wrote this song for the vocal line and they all cried. Don’t worry, they aren’t going anywhere. It was just a time when they were suffering from exhaustion and burnout. They got through it and are stronger now as a group.

Loved the reaction. The story behind this song is so sad and heartbreaking yet so hopeful and heartfelt. The members were struggling at one point, wondering if they should dis-band. They had wanted success but the success they achieved far surpassed what they had though and was overwhelming and scary and tearing at them and one of the members started writing this and shared it with the other members and they cried and after decided to stay together - ARMY didn't know about the true meaning at first but after they won an end-of-year award in their thank you speech it started coming out about how they had been struggling and how thankful they were that they supported each other and stayed together. Hope you check out more. They really are true artists and amazing people.

I love this song. I'll happily watch the lyric video with you. It doesn't match the live energy, quite, but the right video will give you (I think) clearer translation. Just a bit of an aid for understanding BTS lyrics, when they speak of love it's almost never romantic love. Apart from a few of their early songs, the context of love can be family, friends, made family, fellow Koreans, music itself, or just humans in general.

i'm confused... you ARE listening to the actual song. there is no MV for it - only audio - and BTS live is always 1000%. what more do you need?

What he needs is that... He wants to listen to the music production within the song. It is nearly impossible to fully hear all the intricacies of the song during a live performance. Hence why he said he wants to hear the studio version... either a lyric video or MV. As a musician himself it is totally understandable. I hope that helps your confusion. 💜 Yes BTS are best live... and what better way to appreciate that then to have heard the studio version and be actually able to compare and appreciate the difference. Remember he is just learning about them, and has no frame of reference.

The live versions are a bit different and it's hard to hear full song production with all live crowd noise Also, Tear deserves to be listened over and over. The melodie is so good and their vocals play differently live vs record but equally amazing

Idk why your confused. He wants to hear the official audio of the song that they released. As you said they are always singing live and the live version is normally sung differently. In the case of tear, it’s a song that everyone SHOULD listen to a few times cos they of its lyrics.
