The convenience store I recently worked at has one of those soft serve machines that does the flavor around the edges. You can choose from various flavors and even combine several. So they are still out there, even if Mcdonalds doesn't have it anymore.

Glad to see you guys got it back. This is my favorite season after 4. Debra finally knows, and the new villain, Isaac, is different from the other villains. Rather than a secret serial killer, he’s a mob boss, and an absolute badass. The guy is like an evil James Bond. After Trinity he’s definitely my favorite villain. Having said that, this season also irritated me in how it ignores the events of the previous season. Seasons 2 and 5 had a lot of retrospection on the Ice Truck and Trinity killers rampages from the previous season, and it drove the direction the stories went. This season, there’s no talk about how Travis Marshall and the Doomsday killings had a terror spree for weeks across Miami, no sense of relief from the public that another serial killer is gone, nobody even mentions the big eclipse that just happened. It’s like everybody up and forgot all the stuff that happened and only came to an ended literally yesterday. Annoying. Don’t feel too bad about what Dexter does. Remember who he does it to. It’s a net good. Dexter: “I understand the mind of a collector, but you’d? Seems like a waste of a perfectly good obsession. You guys: *give each other a look, can’t even with Dexter. Me: rofl

I think the writers were smart to largely ignore the events of season 6, because that season was ASS. 2nd worst season of the entire show. (only surpassed in badness by season 8. Obviously)

Not relevant. It is completely unrealistic that after holding all of Miami in a practical state of panic and trying to release a chemical bomb at a police station, that there’s be no mention for the rest of the season about everything that happened, especially since season 2 talked all about the events of season 1, and season 5 did the same thing about season 4. Bad season or not (it wasn’t), season 7 ignoring 6’s continuity is lazy storytelling.

soft serve is just regular ice cream that hasn't "set" yet. you churn the ingredients and once it's in the soft serve state, you pull out the mixing device and let it set in the freezer to become hardened ice cream.

Scientifically, the romantic love that deb feels is not unwarranted or unheard of. Adult sibling attraction between non related siblings who were adopted into the same family is a well documented phenomenon, the same way siblings who ARE related have a higher chance of feeling attracted to their actual siblings when they’re not raised together but meet as adults. I haven’t seen Dexter since the original run and it’s been an absolute pleasure revisiting the series thru your reactions. Just wanted to say, regarding Deb’s love for Dexter story, I always felt that the show Dexter was being overshadowed by other riskier shows like Breaking Bad which was really popping off at that time. Back then, I felt that the show Dexter was taking more risks to try and compete with such great quality TV.

15:58 To be fair in the 1st 4 seasons it was acknowledged Dexter was a bad guy killing worse people and only doing it to satisfy his urges and because he liked it. His victims might have deserved it and he might have done Miami a favour by killing them but he didn't do it for those reasons. Things like Dexter trapping Doakes in Santos Jimenez's cabin in Season 2, traumatising Doakes by killing one of his victims in the same room as him, deluding himself that he was framing Doakes as the Bay Harbour Butcher to spare Deb, Rita and the kids horrified reactions when he was really just doing it to save his own ass really showed the evil and selfish side of Dexter.

To me the *BLUE BLOOD* was symbolising that Dexter wasn’t “seeing red” anymore, and had a change of heart in regard to taking people out. Hence, he tried something else and called Deb.
