@bensneb360 And according to the documentary this was the only time Jason was ever played by a woman another fun fact Jack Marks who played the sheriff who got Hammered 🔨 hey get it ? 😉 couldn't drive and was only able to pretend drive a few feet just for that shot and hasn't been in a car since . I just love KAT's reactions and this is a favourite for a horror fan like me. Happy Friday the 13 th .

Adrian king (survivor from last movie) was dealing with a stalker, crazed fan, who broke into her home and was put in jail. This is why her part in this movie is so short. Can you imagine doing this role after that ?

I've met the 2 actors who played Jason in Part 2- Warrington Gilette and Steve Dash (who passed away in 2018 R.I.P) Both were very kind. I even got to meet Lauren Marie Taylor who plays Vicky (brown panties) and she's very very very sweet. She even brings back the panties for fan photo shoots at conventions lmao

Thanks for making this particularly bleak Friday the 13th a little bit better, Kat. Adrienne King was supposed to have a bigger role in this film but was dealing with a stalker and it led to her retreating from acting entirely for a really long time. She now owns a winery connected to Crystal Lake and she does beautiful art, too.

So apparently, the story about the stalker isn't true. Adrienne herself said in the Crystal Lake Memories documentary that her agent had asked for a much higher salary, which the studio couldn't afford, so the much smaller role.

I was sad to see Alice go. Definitely wasn't expecting her to be taken out so fast. But we did get Ginny as a replacement and she's one of my favorite final girls in this series. Very smart thinking to mess with Jason's head like that.

In an interview done for the Special Features of one of the Deluxe Edition DVDs, Adrienne King said that some fans would like to see a sequel where the survivors of all of the previous movies (or at least Parts 1 through 5, or maybe 1 through 7) would unite to try and take Jason down once and for all. Her response to that was "I'd love to do that. If they ever make that movie, sign me up!" But when I saw that I just shook my head and said "Sorry Adrienne, you wouldn't be in that movie. Your character dies right at the beginning of Part 2." However, I will say that I would love to see a movie like that get made as well. And if Adrienne King REALLY wanted to be in it, her character could be rewritten as Alice's identical twin sister, seeking revenge for her sister's murder. Then everyone else would be the final girls of each movie, except for Paul, Tommy, and Reggie (all played by their original actors) who are all final boys.

Thank you ever so much for this one Kat! It was truly a pleasure! Ah yes, "Where's Paul?" That's the $65,000 question we're left with here isn't it. Apparently Its a big enough deal in the horror community that it was even brought up in the several hours long Crystal Lake Memories documentary. The answer (such as it is) was to have been slyly hinted at when they zoomed back in to Jason's humble abode, at which point the little that remains of Pamela Voorhees's was (read; WAS) to have opened her eyes and shot a horrible knowing grin to the audience. However, things rarely run so smoothly in Hollywood and the producers got cold feet and nixed that at the last minute on account of it apparently looking too dumb thus leaving us with the very ambiguous shoulder-shrug of an ending we've got here (All things considered, its not much worse than the whole "It was all just a dream... or was it?" reveal and the end of 1.) Oddly enough, you can still get your answer early on in part 3 (Note for the future: pay real close attention to the news being delivered on the television set as they give you part 2's final tally. Basic math then reveals all!) 😉

How fitting to watch Friday the 13th pt 2 on Friday the Thirteenth ! very clever 😉😀 This was a worthy sequel and i believe it's suspenseful and well put together . let's face it these are not meanT to be Oscar winners , but i've always enjoyed them and yes if someone hasn't already told you they do become gradually more over the top as you go along , So i tip my hat to you for being so brave and giving us wonderful reactions KAT Happy Friday the 13 TH . 🖐 looking forward to Halloween 🎃

I cannot/will not watch The Stranger, Terrifier, Hostel, etc. I can't take torture porn (I saw Spiral for its mystery & saw the Eww as FX). I think part 2 is a little better than the first. It’s better paced, doesn’t waste a ton of time on a Psycho-esque bait and switch, the kills are more memorable, and I think Ginny is a more formidable “final girl.” Plus, I like that it gives a preemptive giant middle finger to the Scream-era “rules” (the survivors are a final girl that’s fooling around with her boss and the counselors who went to the bar and were too drunk to drive back to camp).

Yes Kat, definitely check out Part III! It's one of my favorite Friday The 13th films that I saw in the theaters & as an extra bonus, it was filmed in 3-D so the jump scares really jumped out at you!

Hi Kat! I first saw this as a preteen in the mid 80s. My also preteen cousin rented it on VHS (I guess adults at the time were pretty blasé about children renting/watching totally unsuitable movies.) This really traumatised me, I literally couldn't sleep at night for a couple of days.

Actually that would be ‘wrong way around’ but I’ll give you 1 out of 10 for trying. The handle on a chefs knife is at the blunt top edge of the blade and Jason was holding the cutting edge upwards instead of downwards i.e. ‘Wrong way up’. (as Kat noted in her reaction video)😊

@@treetopjones737 thanks for that info. It's always nice to learn about other English speakers' similarities and differences😆👍 It's also used as a general term for the same thing here in the UK. The reason I mentioned 'rickety chair' specifically (obviously cause Kat said it ) is that in a 1980s sitcom 'The Young Ones' whilst watching telly one time, three of the guys sat on the sofa and Rik(the unpopular one) was left to sit on the dreaded 'rickety chair' which promptly (and predictably!), collapsed in slapstick style 😂

The wheelchair guy was played by Tom McBride, and his onscreen "girlfriend" really did have a crush on him in real life. But McBride had to tell her gently that he was gay. Sadly, he was the first _Friday the 13th_ cast member to pass away in 1995. He died of AIDS at the age of 42.

Fun Fact there are 2 timelines. The Canon timeline established in the 4th movie is the movie take place in the year they're realest (conflicting with many character story's and backstory.) The second is the character timeline, based on the characters (this conflicts with a hand full of time a date is shown on screen.)

Jason was gonna hunt the girl who killed his mom to the ends of the Earth. She was a good protagonist, but she never had a chance once Jason was on her trail. And hey, if these movies show one thing, it's that Jason doesn't discriminate! White, black, men, women, crippled, etc. All equal prey. I actually got an autograph and picture with Warrington Gillette, the guy who plays Jason in this movie. I plan on getting Kane Hodder's autograph this month at Spooky Empire.

ted is a legend...not only was he drunk/smart enough not to go back but he spent the night with a hot waitress to...luckiest guy in cinema history and i wonder how many years he spent thinking about that. i hope he married that waitress. i have no problems at all with that poor young lady coping with losing her dog by taking a swim at night. this is the 80's ya know. actually its never been confirmed exactly what happened to paul...just that he was never found. you are going to love part 3 and part 4!! in my own opinion part 4 was the best of the entire thing but i'll leave that to you...

20:04 I've pretty much watched this and these movies every Friday the 13th and Summer since my dad got it back when it first came out, and I've Never!!!! NEVER noticed that!!!! Thank you so so much for making my favourite of these movies just, more good.
