That's exactly what I said to him too first time I found this channel.🥰🥰🤣 CJ watches a lot of nostalgia-driven, sometimes lesser-known or cult-classic movies that no one else does anywhere else on both channels, on this one & on Midnight Reactions..

Nice pick. Totally forgot about this one, it's been a while since I've watched it. Thanks for brining this movie up. It was a great opportunity for Macaulay Culkin to show a different side and that he can act very well. While Elija Wood rose to fame, Macaulay had a rougher time, the relationship with his parents pretty toxic (not his fault). For a while he looked pretty bad, thought he won't make it. I'm glad he came out on top and has a happy private life and found love.

@@CJhorrorisreality Thank you. Some of my very favourite movies you covered already (Sideways, Big Lebowski). And some of my favs have lots of reactions out there. So I list some of my favorites that do not get covered as much out there. For your regular YT-channel (Midnight Reactions): Smokey and the Bandit (1977) Convoy (1978) or They Call Me Trinity (1970). For your Horror-Channel: The Descent (2005 - with the real UK ending), Eden Lake (2008) or I Spit on your Grave (2010 Remake). Maybe you find one you might want to react to from this small list. And if you're ever on Patreon, let me know...

The whole situation is pretty tragic. The mother was already traumatized from the death of her son. Henry was the son she had left, so she cherished him. Imagine going through all that, and then realizing that the son you loved so much was actually responsible for the death of your first son, along with all the terrible things he did in the past week? It must have been a nightmare for her, and then to have to choose between her son and nephew at the end. She realized her son couldn't be saved.

It was a simple choice. Let Mac live to make Richie Rich or let Elijah Live to Make Lord of The Rings? We all know what we would do! 😉

I believe this was MacCaulay Culkin's only 'evil role'. A different child actor was originally cast as 'Henry', but MacCaulay Culkin's father bribed his son's way into the role by threatening to hold MacCaulay back from 'Home Alone 2' unless MacCaulay got the part in 'The Good Son'. Fortunately, both Wood and Culkin excelled.

It's such a shame this movie bombed at the time. I think it's a great underrated movie! I guess the audience at the time were use to macualay being a burglar busting hero and not an evil dark monster child in disguise who wants to kill his family.

Not to mention the fact ppl hated stuff like this like they rather be blind 💀 when in reality this how serial killers spawn as kids and turn around don’t see it they are uncomfortable with subject like this

My Theory. Henry survived this Movie and adopted the brother he killed's name "Richard" and that is how he becomes "Richie Rich". By Killing another boy that looks so much like him with a similar name that not even the Real Richie's Parents can tell!

I was surprised at how many critics this movie has. This is a very realistic and well-acted movie. 1. I mean, it is very possible to lose a parent. 2. After losing a parent, it is common to allow your chjIb to go hang out with family that also has chjIbren and a motherly figure that you trust to help. 3. It's also relatively possible that this host family has a young sibling/member kjIIer that has not been caught by the family or the law yet(after 1 kjII). In fact, number #3 is easier to get away with the younger you are and the less deths there are around you. It's so possible that many adults[not young chjIbren] have gotten away with it at least once even without a medical condition lie(SIDs or genetic illness) to cover it up(drowning, choking, etc.).

I loved this movie but it scared the shit out of me as a kid mculkin really embodied evil and he looks scary. Also all Henry did was show symptoms of a serial killer or psychopath. The fact that he killed his little brother is Evil he showed no remorse he even would kill his mom me never! Also kids back then weren’t supervised especially me 😂 so it’s relatable also they are white family in a secluded neighborhood nobody would think anything bad

Way to have a double negative in your title, don't you know using two double negatives in a sentence cancels each other out, making them pointless and the sentence can be said to mean the same thing without them?
