The problem with medicine these days is that it's just a business. Patient needs should always come first but nowadays we are lucky if is the third priority. After 34 years in nursing I have seen these changes. And by the way if hospitals and "businesses " don't use the efficiency experts that is the first place to save money. They don't come cheap

it’s a very real thing. there’s a girl in my town who died cause her parents didn’t let her receive blood transfusions. it’s a very real thing among jehovah's witness.

While I don't agree with the idea of not allowing transfusions, I do not believe those people even gave the hospital a second thought, in their eyes God called their child home, it was his time. If He was willing He would have saved him. Again, I don't hold these beliefs but I was raised in a very religious household so I understand religious conviction
