Your reaction immediately took me back to 2010 when I first saw this episode. It’s so iconic that I can still remember watching it almost 15 years later. I was a closing manager at Chili’s back then so I had to DVR it and watch when I got home. The bartender was a close friend so she came over to watch with me and we were both SHOOK when he shot Reed. This was very early into the social media days (just MySpace and Fbook) and we weren’t online as much so neither of us had heard spoilers beforehand. My now ex-husband got home around the same time (he was a manager at Applebees lol) and even though he never watched Grey’s, he actually watched this episode and the next one with us. Bc it was just SO GOOD. I bawled like a baby for these 2 episodes and I still cry even now through parts of it.

As someone who works in a hospital and furthermore in surgery, this was horrific to watch. The overdramatized episodes are obviously crazy to happen repeatedly for one specific hospital but we prepare as best we know how. I hoped he would upload a double feature. The bomb episode, this one, and the plane deserves back to back!

I felt that way too, I was very sick once and spent almost a month in a private room in a hospital and aside from nearly dying, I felt very physically safe, if that makes any sense. "Secure" might be a good word to describe it.

The season 6 final (the two episodes) are, in my opinion, on the top 5 best episodes. While they are extremely traumatic, it's sooo good as well. The second episode has one of the most devastating scenes I've ever seen in a TV show. Once you see it, you'll know what I mean. Some say season 9 has the saddest finals, I say season 6 is way sadder and way worse.

This episode traumatized me the most. And I've been following you for a while. I know a lot of your fans have been waiting for this episode, excited to see your reaction, but this is the one I've been dreading the most. I've known a couple people who were close to me that have died in shootings, at a mall near my house. This episode kind of brings that up but I'm doing my best to focus on your reactions instead of the episode itself. On a different note, I agree, owen needs to fuck right off. Jackson was doing exactly what he was told and if owen disagrees with what he was told then its Derek's fault. It shows that this would just cause a problem with focus by Jackson's hands being shaky, and a lot of people feel as though they shouldve known because they have experience with violence but right now that is not their job. Derek wanted Owen and Teddy to be able to focus on the patient they're trying to save. I think in this situation there will be losses, and unfortunately theres nothing you can do to help some people but its best to help who you can. I wish we could see your reaction to the series finale but I know you only upload this show usually once every Monday and Thursday. So I look forward to Thursday.
