It was the movie that everyone said would be the worst movie of the MCU and it turned out to be one of the best. You may not believe this but when MCU started Iron Man, Captain America and Thor weren't popular, but still marvel fans knew them. But THESE GUYS? Even marvel fans were like "I'm sorry, who?" And now? They make more money than a freaking Justice League movie. This was the movie that showed that they can take a risk and make a movie with completely unknown characters and make audience love them.

To be fair, doing better than the first version of justice league is not that great to brag about, but you're right.

Maybe Marvel fans, but random people on the street would most likely say Spider-Man, or maybe Thor, if asked for a Marvel superhero. Iron Man was pretty obscure for a wide audience before the movie came out.

This one is SO good! Bradley Cooper was amazing as Rocket, you can't even tell it's him! And if you see the behind the scenes footage he really is acting, doing the movements and is very animated, you can tell he took it seriously like any other role and not just a easy voice acting payday. One of my favorite scenes which showcases Coopers talent is when Rocket and Drax are fighting when he's drunk and at first your laughing at Rocket but out of nowhere it shifts to being serious and him having this very sad, emotional scene and you see the pain he has been through. I like that when Gamora called him rodent during their escape scene Rocket didn't look bothered at all but inside he was and he remembered her calling him that. Also the CGI on Rocket was amazing! One of the best CGI characters of all time, I would give it to him and Gollum! And when I first saw this movie I thought Groot was just regrowing in the end like his arm did when Gamora chopped it off but no, he died and that is like Groot's son, Rocket just named him Groot too or unless on his planet they are all named Groot.
@highlander315273 жыл бұрын
DC: Releases a sliced up crappy dark version of Batman V Superman. Marvel: Here's a smartass raccoon and a walking tree. Guess who won that fight? Although, the money you could have made onthe odds of GOTG losing is disgusting. James Gunn really knows what he is doing with hero type movies, whether DC or Marvel.Also, Rocket's obsession with collecting people''s bionic parts never goes away.

He did direct other films before this. Slither, and Super are particularly worth watching. He has also written several notable films. The Specials he wrote and has an acting role in. He wrote the Scooby Doo live action film, the first one of them actually being a lot better than it had any need to be. He's also credited on the screenplay for the 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake, but I don't know of that's a shared credit or not.

Here's a word for you guys: Diagetic. Anything diagetic is in the movie universe and interacting with the characters. Non-diagetic elements only interact with us the audience, and don't exist in the universe of the fiction. Example; the opening of Star Wars is non-diagetic. the song playing in the salon on tatooine is diagetic. The best example of the usage of diagetic soundtrack was by Quentin Tarantino in both rexervoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction. HOWEVER Guardians of the Galaxy is IMO the best use of diagetic soundtrack EVER in a movie because of the way they tied the music Quill listens to into his character arc, and the actual plot.
