I can't believe that I've finally found someone who is as obsessed as I am, knowing names of actors directors, titles of films etc etc I'm the same like you in that, but my husband doesn't know anything about any actors always get confused with films etc I love him and watching movies with him lol but it's so.nice sometimes watch it with someone who understand the little nugget and Easter egg moments it's relatable I can't do that with my husband as he doesn't know any of it he just loves watching movies but doesn't care about behind the scenes I hope I explained it well. Just the way Iwuji acts combined with the visuals and Dido's lament playing in the background, just wow... Also Iwuji absolutely killed every scene in this movie (just as hard as he killed lylla)

Originally Yonu and the original Groot were going to be there with Teeth, Floor and Lyla in that afterlife scene, but they scrapped the idea, thinking it would confuse people who didn't watch the first two films

I agree with you completely on the intro, this movie was honestly the first time I had a lot of fun with an MCU movie in a while, and I hope James Gunn does a great job with whatever DC movies he writes... Also, The High Evolutionary is possibly the best MCU villain that has been around for a while

That fight sequence at the end had a lot of practical, and some CGI. The trick is, they're not all there at the same time, but there is a lot of great stunt work.

You know, when they involved the children, I just couldn't help thinking about Thor L&T and how cringe inducing the way they utilized the group of children in that movie was compared to this one. Like this felt so much more heartfelt with Drax especially in that regard.

This movie truly was spectacular. But all one has to do is see The Flash to understand how much even the worst MCU movies are better than the best DCEU movie. Suicide Squad was terrible. Ant-Man and the Wasp- Quantumania was extremely disappointing but still so important to watch due to Kang the Conqueror being the whole key to Phases 5 and 6. Plus, it leads right into Loki, Season 2. Wakanda Forever was also very good but not to the level of this GOTG3 masterpiece. Dr. Strange 2 was also disappointing but not as bad as Quantumania. All the shows on Disney Plus including the current Secret Invasion have been good to excellent with the exception of the final episode of She-Hulk, a complete disaster. In fact, the Secret Invasion show has been so good, it even makes Captain Marvel, an average movie, 10x better and makes me look forward to The Marvels, which it is setting up perfectly. Ms Marvel was also extremely good and gets way too little respect. The kid who plays Ms. Marvel is truly a "marvel." WandaVision is one of my favorite shows of all time. Hawkeye was fantastic. All the ancillary series including Moon Knight were spectacular. So, even though Disney is failing with its wokeness, the MCU is still miles above anything else in cinema despite getting its ass kicked by Avatar 2 and the biggest surprise monster hit of all time, The Super Mario Brothers Movie.

Not a fan of the repeating the punchline in this movie. Somebody who's never had alcohol would include "we have to save rocket" on the middle space of a bingo board of phrases. Mantis and Drax felt off, like they did in Infinity War, but they are what make Guardians 2 place in my top 2 MCU.
