In the books the chemistry between Harry and Ginny was there. But the actors who played Harrry and Ginny grew up together over the course of the films. They were more like brother and sister so it was very awkward when they had to suddenly show passion for each other

Not to mention in the films they exclude every ginny moment that she has from the books so once HBP got adapted it was like “why is she so relevant now?” Hell in the that very book we get a Harry spending the summer at the Weasleys and him getting closer and closer to Ginny before they even get to school where they get more moments. They even exclude her in the film where shes supposed to have the MOST screentime

@@facu_k961 acting isn't so much of putting on a show as you think. When you act in a movie you don't really act, not if you're a great actor, you take yourself to places emotionally. I have a friend who I had a crush on for some years, but we grew up together so after some point, the thought of us together was just so strange so I abandonned that dream. As an aspiring actor, if I were is Daniel Radcliffe's shoes, I would not do a much better job than him, I'd try, but I wouldn't get very far.

I believe, Hedwig flew into the killing spell to save Harry. Harry dug Doby's grave without magic as a sign of respect for Doby.

Yes, the Movie Version is, that Hedwig tried to save Harry. In the books she is in her cage between Harrys feet and gets killed by a misdirected spell.

My favorite fact to share when people watch deathly hallows part 1 is that in the books.. during the wedding Victor Krum is there. Ron gets jealous of him being there and quickly asks Hermoine to dance with him. Ron took Hermoine's advice in the 4th movie when she said "Next time there is a ball pluck up the courage and ask me before somebody else does, and not as a last resort." Ron asked her before Krum got the chance. Also I wish the movies showed how much connection Harry and Ginny have. When he was running around with Ron and Hermoine and camping out at different places he would often check the mauraders map to check on Ginny. He found comfort in looking at her name on the map because it meant she was alive.

Notice how the death eaters showed up when Xenophilius Lovegood said the word "Voldemort"? In the books they explain better why people are and have always been so afraid to say his name-speaking the name "Voldemort" could summon him or his followers to you. That's what Luna's Dad did

The whole Ginny and Harry relationship was definitely forced in the movies. She was sidelined for way too long because she wasn't that important to the story for like 3 books (after Chamber of Secrets) but she was supposed to have some key moments in those that never made it to the movies. There's a part in Order of the Phoenix where Umbridge bans Harry from playing Quidditch and Ginny takes over his spot, and that starts to give them something more in common and spark some mutual interest.

In the deleted scenes Dudley stands up for Harry against his dad and basically apologizes. And Yeah Lucius is scared because he's been in Azkaban and Voldemort is still angry that he failed to get the prophecy. They aren't hidden. Greyback is the werewolf that bit Lupin. The twins aren't getting married, that's Bill. The stunt guy was paralyzed being knocked through that wall by Nagini.

Here's something to make Umbridge even more evil: Patronuses can only be conjured by a happy memory, and yet she's using it during an interrogation, about the unhappiest thing a person could be doing. Umbridge is literally happy at the thought of getting to torture people with dementors.

The one thing I will always give the Harry Potter series is how much it makes you feel like you're a part of the world. The earlier stories took advantage of the passage of time over a year to make you feel like you were really going to school with them, and the small sections of celebrating the holidays sold it for me with how warm it felt. Then the further you get into the next stories it becomes more darker and colder, you really start to feel how much danger Harry really is and just how important "the friends we've made along the way" really is.

"Hermione deserves better." Period. The scene where she tells Harry about her parents and reads the story of Deathly Hallows belong to my favorites in the movies. I'm not really the fan of Harry and Ginny either, in the movies or books. The actor of the boy in the picture, Grindelwald, isn't playing Jane's brother Alec but Caius. I cried with you while seeing Dobby die again. I'm happy you like this movie, it seemes to be really underrated.

I remember being nervous about the film because I thought the pacing of first half of the book wouldn’t do well as a film. But they really did a great job! The main cast did an excellent job with performances and the movie at times is very intense. Also the limited visuals really help and the score was great.

Mad Eye had an off page death in the books as well, this is NOT a movie issue. The lack of chemistry with Ginny IS a movie issue. Pettigrew has a much more gruesome end in the book, just saying. You should rezd the book version of Dobby's death and burial, it's a real tear jerker.

Dobby's grave can be found at Freshwater West in Pembrokeshire(they left it up after making the film), people visit it and leave notes, painted rocks, and things at his gravesite. Dobby had a much bigger role in the books, which made his death even more sad, you really get to know and love Dobby in the books, they cut almost all of the Dobby stories from the film(for time I suppose), If you do like Dobby, you will love the books(ps, Dobby has a girlfriend in the books, and gets a job at Hogwarts, and spends a lot of time and adventure withe Harry, Ron, and Hermione, yet they left all of it out of the films).

It is a bit slower and There's a lot of talking but I think that's what gives you the feeling of gravity ( it's not just flashing wands here and there, there's actually a lot of substance to the story) . When I saw this movie in theatre and Dobby's death came up, I was so sad and feeling all the Emotions. Meanwhile, the rest of the audience was laughing their asses off. If it makes you feel any better, I saw this at it's midnight showing when it first came out. I worked overnights and couldn't get my shift taken. But I could get the 3 hours covered. There were so many people in that theater. People we sitting on the stairs. Leaning on the railing. People everywhere. Way past room capacity. When it came to the Dobby scene, all you could hear in that room was people sniffling and crying. Myself included. And I had to go straight to work after. Eyes completely red and in a downer mood. Everyone asked how the movie was. Just told em I didn't want to talk about it. I also ship Luna and Harry.

The movie theater nearby is attached to our mall, and I remember when the day this movie came out. Nearly a quarter of the mall was just people standing there waiting to get in. Waited hours to see that movie, and that scene still to this day is devastating.

That's not one of the twins getting married. That's their oldest brother Bill. He married Fleur Delacour from the Triwizard Tournament after being attacked and disfigured by the werewolf Fenrir Grayback. The Harry/Ginny romance was much better in the books. They sidelined her character so much in the movies that she didn't have the personality that made book readers love Ginny. The way they did her character in the movies totally ruined the whole relationship. Grimauld Place (Sirius' family home) now belongs to Harry..along with Kreacher. They left out Kreacher's character arc too.

In the books Ginny is sassy, bolduc, popular, cool, funny, adorable and understands Harry's feelings too. They deleted all her good scenes and only kept a few ones. That's why their relationship didn't make any sense in the movie because she didnt have the spotlight before. Here she seems brave but awkward . In my opinion, there are not enough colours in her personality in the movie, unlike in the books. There also a lot of characters missing like Peeves. Everyone is more detailed in the original story and that's normal of you think about it.

I hate this goofy ending here. In books he chockes Harry, but ultimately has change of heart and decides to not kill him. That's when the silver hand given by Voldemort kills him - as Voldemort told him to never betray him. 30:30 It was even worse in books, because Dobby was important characters - movies cut most of his scenes out.

This movie is honestly my favorite of the series because I felt it built up the drama so well. It gets more and more intense as it goes. By the time you're seeking release, it hits you when you're down. Such a fantastic final chapter entry. Part 2 is good but I prefer Part 1. Prisoner and HBP are also fantastic but I actually saw Deathly Hallows Part 1 in theaters for my 12th birthday, so I do have some nostalgia bias towards this entry.

When the book came out I only cried at the death of Dobby. Hedwig did not elicit such, even though that was devastating as well. In the books you saw a lot more of Dobby and grew to appreciate him even more. I believe only using him when absolutely necessary in the movies was a cost-saving measure.

It's now revealed Tom Riddle's diary was a horcrux and the first to be destroyed, it had been left with Lucius Malfoy who never understood what it was. Lucius sent it to Hogwarts to cause mischief but assumed it wasn't important. When Voldy found out he was very angry. He also (correctly) assumed Lucius had abandoned him after the first war to save himself. So by this time Voldy took every opportunity to humiliate Lucius, like taking his wand, and had made himself an unwelcome house guest. By this point in the story, they regretted their part in the conspiracy and the mother is looking for a way out to protect Draco. Voldy had already sent Draco to kill Dumbledore to be killed or imprisoned.
