dead of night, eyes so green --- she's talking about her dating life with Harry Styles; they used to take drives up the Pacific Coast Highway at night to make it harder for paparazzi. Watch her performance (and the music video) for Style. A lot of the songs on the album are about her life in 2012 to 2013 (before and during the Red Tour). She used to take a couple years between albums to experience life a bit, which then shows up on the next album. Learning her music is like diary entries, if you start getting in deep.

I looooove your Taylor reactions! You should watch Don't Blame Me Look What You Made Me Do live from the Eras tour. She is BADASS on that one.

This is one of my favorite songs and I’ve said it before that she’s the female version of Eminem lyrically. I think this song is so underrated like I never hear people talking about it and it’s such a great song.

she wrote two songs on the 1989 album with Ryan Tedder of One Republic: this one, and Welcome to New York (concert opener). Three songs with Jack Antonoff (Out of the Woods, I Wish You Would, He's in Love), and one with Imogen Heap (Clean). Her only solo write was produced by Nathan Chapman, who produced nearly all her earlier country music (This Love). I think everything else was with Max Martin and Shellback, who executive produced the album with Taylor. She talks of different styles of writing and how she preps for writing sessions in a presentation at the Grammy museum called Listening Session With Taylor Swift It isn't short and goes a little into the production of all her first albums to 1989, with phone recordings of different songwriting sessions from 1989. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYeqk52pr9OmaaM It isn't as long as it looks; the last quarter hour or so is 4 live solo performances, two with introductions to the song.

You HAVE to watch the music video for this song - it’s like the freaking Matrix films.
