It was Donnie Yen’s idea to portray Caine as blind. He also wanted the character to be funny and he also choose his suit, tie, etc to copy Bruce Lee’s outfit in the 1960s as a tribute.

Caine killed the osaka continental becuz the table will go after his daughter, thats why when caine said "just take care of ur daughter" he said "I am" He died so the table would not kill his daughter which is the concierge

Now that you finished John Wick, I would highly recommend The Raid and it's sequel if you haven't seen them yet. Two of the best action movies of all time, they ALMOST make the fights in John Wick look tame by comparison.

Did you notice 2 things. 1) The ground at the grave was fully grassed over. This means it was either a year or more after the burial, or there isn't a casket in that grave. 2) The dog, looked off to the side while Winston and The Bowery King were talking about John.

I loved the implication that Winston saying "Goodbye, my Son." in Russian pointed at the potential that the Father/Son respectful dynamic, and in retrospect the lengths that Winston went to for him was more than just respect. Was he John's father? Listening back to their banter over the series, it really changes the perspective of their relationship. And I love the ambiguity leaving the question there.

I have never been as physically exhausted in a movie theater as I was for John Wick Chapter 4! During the entire 3rd act we go from one of the most intense car chase / car fighting scene, to one of the best shot action sequences I have ever seen during the abandoned building fight scene. I felt my fingers go into the same crab claw shape when I play video games on pure reflex when it started to look like so many LITERALLY over the top games I grew up on! THEN we get the insane stair fight, which every single step John fell down I practically felt just watching. Seriously it’s like that episode of Family Guy when Peter keeps falling down the new stairs! Then we finally get to the duel and thank god it was long enough in the end that we saw the look on the Marquis’s face when he realized he fucked up!🤣🤣🤣 As for the ending, it’s recently been announced that they are working on John Wick Chapter 5, plus I already believed he survived because the perfect retirement is where everyone thinks you’re dead..

Plus all he gunshot wounds were in non lethal areas. I think Cain did that on purpose as did John. They are incredibly skilled marksmen. Wonder what will bring him out of retirement? The only thing I can think of is Helen. Did she die of an illness or was she given said illness by The Table? They have people everywhere. Practically all of New York are assassins or working for The Table. My theory is they infected her so they could force John back into the life he left behind somehow. And how did Vigo’s son not know about John? I mean Vigo’s brother knew and practically all of their men. So why was his son not aware of John?

I’m sure someone already mentioned it but many folks from the Matrix appear here. The director Chad Stahelski was the stuntman in the Matrix. The doctor in John Wick 3 is the Keymaker from Matrix Reloaded. Of course, Lawrence Fishburne, and lots of guns

I hope they make another one with Cain, Winston, the king and that Japanese guy's daughter. Then when all hope looks lost John comes in and starts going ham. He never really actually accomplished his goal in taking out the high table. Or maybe they just faked his death. Cause if you notice where he got shot was were the same exact spots the doctor told John to shoot him in the first one. Non-lethal but looked lethal.

Action movies like this, is just an example why letting good stunt guys do their thing. Is a great thing because they know what makes good action. Also helps if the director lets them do their thing. And if the director is a former stunt guy its even better. Just like the movie, Extraction

So John is dead. Buttttt. A 5th one is being worked on. It won't release for a while. But I think one of two things for a sequel if they do it. Because of all the stuff he went through in the movie. John has been on the run and fighting this whole time, thrown from windows, into cars, and blood loss. He could have just passed out on the stairs from exhaustion and blood loss. If they fake his Death, Winston sent him off with Caine or John called in that Caine favor. 2, John survived and is living somewhere and Winston faked his death and moved him without Caine and the Caine favor will come in later. There are a few spin offs in the works before we will probably get this movie, but the script is being worked on for 5. We have Ballerina, there is the prequel show with Winston, and I believe a movie about the Daughter wanting revenge on Caine, and a possible Caine movie. There was supposed to be a prequel John Wick show too, when he wasn't trying to be a good guy. So it will be cool to see the universe that they setup!

The arc de triomphe action scene was definitely my favourite. Planning and choreographing a good fight between 2 people is hard enough. Imagine handling a 10 minutes long action scene involving John vs about 50 gunmen on a huge set with so many speeding cars and even a dog. Also you may notice that Keanu Reeves was doing a lot of the driving himself, which allows for good long extended shots but also makes it even more stressful for the director.

Good Movie, great ending. Everyone assumes he's dead. Shortly after it was out of theaters... they announced John Wick 5... and it wasn't a prequel. 🙄 As for Prequels, I suggest watching "The Continental" which is about how Winston got to be in charge of the hotel. 👍

It is an Indonesian action crime thriller film that has the best fight scenes of all. This film has the best fight scenes because it is brutal, intense and non-stop action. Look, as much as I want to say this movie succeeds, I think most can agree, that the addition of the single combat challenge is one of the biggest ret-cons of this series. I mean, why in the world did Winston tell nothing to John about this advice in the first place? What stopped him in the second movie or third movie from doing this? It almost feels as if the creators ran out of ideas and needed to invent something for John to get out of this predicament, after painting themselves into a corner based on the prior rules that were established earlier. It even makes Winston look like a jerk, considering how they were trying to keep the father/son bond between two. Also, for a movie that's trying to be about Wick taking down the Table, he really doesn't do that. Sure he kills the Elder and Marquis, but I'm more certain everyone was expecting to see him literally kill all of them, and destroy the whole system completely. Heck, even Winston requests another hotel, which I find to be ridiculous, because that means he'll still be under the High Table's laws, so why would he want to work for them, after they just f**ked him over in the last movie? Yeah, it's really not coming together. For being high in action, it drops in story.
