If Winston wanted to end JW, he would've went for the head. He knows about the bulletproof suit. This is his way of obeying the high table while also not quite obeying the high table. Winston is still a homie. Also that last sword fight guy is the Chairman from Iron Chef America.

You have to be paying attention, but you can see Winston glance towards the ledge when he is talking, subtly telling John to go over that part of the roof. I don't know if he was working with the Bowery King to have him picked up or not, but I suspect they are all tired of the High Table's crap and are working together.

Halle Berry actually went to the same school that Keanu Reeves went to learn how to shoot, because the wanted to do that stunt, which I think she really nailed it. There is actually a video of her and Keanu at the shooting place learning how to shoot and speed reload, and she looks really good doing that whole shooting course.👍

A weird detail that someone pointed out (and honestly I was too lazy to look at every detail, but from my views seemed accurate) is that they actually use the phones as an indicator of who is on John's side. Like John uses (mostly to watch the video of his wife) a smartphone, while those who are not on his side use flip phones or slide phones (not sure what they call them officially). Even Winston used a smartphone in movies 1 and 2, but he used an older model in this one.

This movie is absolutely next level. Between the "I get it" line and the fan boy scene in the continental the action, drama, and comedy in this one are what other movies should aspire to be. I believe that Winston intentionally didn't kill John. If you remember, Winston shot John in the vest and not the head. He got the Continental back, but in the way that gave John the best chance to survive.

Fourth one seems to go even bigger. Got one of the biggest Chinese action stars Donnie Yen. Got Scott Adkins. He is in a lot of Hollywood movies as a stuntman, but he is an actor too. The reason the Adjudicator punished those who helped Wick, is because he went against one of the High Table, and was also excommunicado when claiming his favors, meaning they were already invalid. The 7 bullets was before he was exiled, but again, he used them to try and kill the High Table member.

Many viewers have speculated that Winston knew what he was doing. If I remember correctly John is wearing a bullet proof suit. Winston knows this and he only aimed at the suit.

Tbh I'm pretty sure the whole thing with Winston was planned. He knows about the armored suits, and if he really wanted to kill John, he would have shot him in the head... Out of everyone in all the movies, he's the one person that has been on John's side and knows how bad it is to be against him. (Edit: and Charon too) I'm almost sure on the next movie John, the Bowery King and Winston will be working together to get rid of the High Table. Though considering they have already confirmed John Wick 5, we might only find out at the end of 4 (or maybe even only on 5) that Winston was on his side all along.

Also when it comes to the blades, I get what you mean. It was the same with the first movie as well, whenever there's a bladed weapon, it's fairly easy to tell the actual tip is not real and they're not actually going through anything. I think it's especially noticeable because it's contrasted with so much actual stunt work.

The revolver beeing taken apart and put together with different parts from other guns was a lovely reference to The Good The Bad And The Ugly where Tuco does the same thing. Also alot of these long pan shots, close up face shots and wide/narrow/slantered angle shots were inspired by Sergio Leone who made The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Just for your Information. The giant tall dude from the start of the film is Boban Marjanović, an NBA Player from Serbia and probably the nicest guy in the entire League. There is litterally noone wo doesnt like him. And thats why seeing him in this role is so dang funny. It's close, but I think this one might be my favorite, or at least right behind the first, because I love the visuals so much more. This one is much more vibrant and they play around with lightning in a very pleasing way. Also, I love how they've managed to really step up the creativity of the action, even though I think they honestly didn't really need to because it was always so good. All of this just makes me even more excited for John Wick 4 in March!

the hierarchy of the table is like Elder who sits above (almost never gets involved and just oversees the whole thing) 12 seats at the table for the biggest crime families ( Camorra, Cosa Nostra, Triad, Yakuza, Bratva etc) Adjudicator (who enforce the rules of the table with the help of the table armed forces and/or Specialists like Zero) Managers (who handle the Continental affairs throughout the world) Assassins (who are not really members but use the organisation as a hub) There are also affiliated organisations like the Ruska Roma or The Soup Kitchen who pledged fealty to the table. I fully believe Winston didn't betray John. In all three movies, all of the assassins always aim for the head when they can/are physically able to. Winston should've aimed at John's head. He had a clear shot, and he KNEW John was wearing body armor and yet aimed for his torso. And Charon said: "Well played, sir" after John was "killed". Yeah, Winston knew John would survive and did this as a way to let John escape.

FYI Both the Adjudicator and their actor are actually non-binary :) I liked the addition of the character, the actor has a good presence on screen. Also Halle Berry killed it. This movie was great, HOWEVER, I do admit being somewhat annoyed/disappointed that the series didn't end with this one when I first watched it in theaters. Not because I don't love these movies, but exactly because of it. I don't want them to milk the franchise until it's dry, I want them to end on a high note. But maybe Chapter 4 will be the end? I'm just scared that they'll try to keep going for way too long just because these movies make money and are popular.

Halle Berry was in control of the dogs, for the fight scenes. They were fully trained attack, assault and defense dogs. Halle had to train for months with the dogs, before she could gain their trust, and for them to work as such a tight unit. This is on top of all the weopons training that Halle did for her role.

I don't know how you could get italian subtitles but as an italian subsciber, at 7:13 it's "and the belt too", right after "see you around", and in the scene you cut right after Wick says "I am a son of Belarus, you are obliged to help me" "all this because of a puppy?" "wasn't just a puppy". Oh and every time the ballerina falls she says "again". The japanese assassin in the lobby says "ore mo onaji shi no tatsujin Mr. Wick" that would be "I am a master of death aswell Mr. Wick". Hope it helps!

The breed of dog that Halle Berry has in the film is called a malinois. Also known as Belgian Shepherd Dogs. While shooting the film, Halle Berry fell in love with these dogs and got himself 2 of them from a Swiss breeder.
