Eh, I don’t know. Daniel is a a good actor who’s played a multitude of roles and been nominated for some the highest accolades in the arts. I think it’s more the fact that millions literally watched him grow up as a child playing the role of one of the most famous literary characters in history in one of the most famous and successful franchises in history. Hell of a legacy to be the central figure of.

I had this movie on DVD as a kid and I would watch it over and over again all the time. When the 2nd one came out I had to watch it. No it isn’t legally binding, Parliament has to approve who ever sits on the throne. Spiritually speaking, Johnny hadn’t been anointed by the archbishop he was just crowned so it wouldn’t be binding. I also believe that the Queen would never have abdicated even if they threatened the dog, she viewed the country and crown as more important than anything in her life and that wouldn’t have worked.

In the end, it was the sheer level of unrelenting incompetence that disarmed Sauvage enough to let Johnny English stop him 😂 99% of the film is Pascal just letting him fall on own his sword over and over again hahaha
