This movie is very underrated in my opinion. The first Arthurian movies I remember watching was this one and the 1999 Merlin miniseries with Sam Neil.

I remember seeing it at the time it came out, love the concept I think the first arthurian movie I saw was one with Richard Gere and Sean Connery. Don't really remember it tough or the movie's title 😅

I don't see why some people didn't like the movie. I thought this was an excellent movie. Maybe some people just don't have good taste in movies. 🙂

I remember watching it right when it hit theaters and it was really my friends and I kind of movie 😋

@@ptthatswhatshesaid yeah I liked it. I thought it was all around good. Good story, great acting, great action scenes. All around I'd give it a B+. Definitely worth watching.

Well, the good guys were kind of 2-dimensional. And most people thought they were gonna watch a typical Arthurian story set in Camelot. But I liked it.

@@binxbolling I'll give you that. There wasn't really much character development but I think it was the best portrayal of Arthur that I've seen. I think they did a good job with the villains in the movie and the action scenes were pretty good too.

Based on the theory that the inspiration for King Arthur legends was actually a Romano-Celtic commander who defeated the Anglo-Saxons in a battle. Strangely, the English (Anglo-Saxons mixed with Celts mostly) adopted King Arthur as their legendary hero.

Hi Daniel and Lucy haven't seen this brilliant film in years, and I had forgotten how many great actors are in it, the actor who Lucy said she liked his voice is British actor Ray Winstone hes best known for starring in films about London gangsters, films as Scum, Nil by Mouth which was written and directed by Gary Oldman, and Sexy Beast as well as many others, The leader of the Saxons is played by Stellan Skarsgard who starred in a few Marvel films Eric Selvic, he also plays Bootstrap Bill in the Pirates films with Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom, the character of Tristan is played Mads Mikkelsen who starred in the TV series Hannibal and as Galen Erso in Rogue One a Star Wars story, anyway looking forward to the rest of the reactions.

Hey there! We'll post the second half of the reaction (plus our afterthoughts) today. I think we were quite harsh in our criticism of the movie, especially concerning the directing and script 😅 but one thing we can all agree its great is the cast! By the way, besides Nada Mikkelsen, the younger Knight of the group is also from the series Hannibal - he plays Will Graham!

You guys managed to noticed the actor who played Alister Thorn from Game of Thrones but I bet you didn't realized that the actor who played Merlin is the same actor who plays Stannis in Game of Thrones

It is funny that you said, that the bald guy is a bad actor. In fact, this is one of the most successful German actors, Til Schweiger. But I agree, he is bad. There are so much better actors here, but not many more successful...
