This movie ... you watch it, you get emotional ... you think about it afterwards, you get even more emotional. I cried so much after I left the cinema. Its a masterpiece

This is my favorite movie of all time. I make my family watch on my Bday every year. They say it's like being tortured lol.

Only the second time I ever cried at the movies. The first time was 30 years earlier at E.T. Javert's basic problem, which ultimately destroys him, is that he he puts everyone in one of two groups, and you can never change that. So when he sees Valjean perform one act of mercy after another, culminating with Valjean saving Javert's life, Javert completely breaks down and kills himself, because the world aa he knew it doesn't follow his logic.

The Academy Award for Best Timing goes to Anne Hathaway's teardrop. I've watched that incredible scene/performance so many times, and it always gets me emotional.

If you have the opportunity, give the book a chance. The way in which Victor Hugo delves into each character and French society at the time is a unique experience.

This rendition of "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" never fails to hurt. For what it's worth, I think Javert is a more tragic character than the musical depicts him to be. Not arrogant, just too rigid in clinging to a worldview that gave his life meaning and order.

Love this movie though it's really sad it's also one of my favorite musicals. Arron Tivett was also in Grease live (just a live version of Grease, the movies Grease 1 & 2 are better in my opinion)

It is all about " love" - the characters put their loved one ahead of themselves- their safety, happiness......I find the movie so beautiful.

My dear Kemi, the tears we just shared😂 this movie is so important to me, I remember seeing it with my entire family in 2013 in theaters and I looked over at my dad as the credits rolled and he had tears streaming down his cheeks. This film/play/story reminds me of a quote, “there are no winners in war. Only widows”. Until the next❤
