I'm glad you reacted to this one. It goes so much more in depth. I've seen some reactors that say why was he saying that to everyone and it's because he really did feel that way. He wasn't saying it for fun. You're right the way this was edited was flawless. How he put the same topic but from different players who experienced it and tied it all together.

Let me give you a little more to add to that story. See what you probably don't realize is Kent Benson was the starting center at Indiana when Larry went to play for Indiana and Kent Benson had kind of bullied him in the short time that Bird was there and kind of made fun of him. That's why McHale had such a huge night when he scored 56 and why bird was feeding McHale the ball all the time because Benson was guarding him and that's why he did that to Benson. He tried to make his life miserable fo how he treated him in college. I don't think Byrd ever forgets. If you watch Kevin's 56 point game, you can tell that bird is going out of his way to feed him the ball. I tell you I can give you a lot of insight to a lot of those guys and the stories behind the stories. I'm a huge Larry Bird fan. I think he's the best that ever played

That was one of the things I loved about Bird and Magic. When a teammate was hot, he would feed him the ball. He didn't need to look for his shot. One of my favorite stories is when Magic overheard Rodney Rogers talking trash to Bird. Magic fed Bird 7 or 8 straight possessions so Bird could cook Rogers. And in true Bird fashion, he told Rogers every move he would make before he did it.

Ken Benson and Larry Bird have major history. LB initially got a scholarship to play hoops iconic church of Indiana University under Bobby Knight. I believe Benson was an upper classmen establish on the team and was hard on him straight up. Bird left IU really quick and returned home. LB was overwhelmed by the size of a large historic University. Probably home sick. So he took pleasure embarrassing Benson any chance he could in the NBA.

Bird was athletic before his back went out on him shame that he was crippled by the time his skill set maxed but he wasn't ever an amazing athlete but his first step and hand eye coordination were elite

You know athleticism doesn't get you any more points than two or three. It's not like gymnastics where you're judge on, how spectacular or how high you jump or how far you jump. Something much more important with basketball is skill. Not athleticism athleticism will help you to score and rebound and pass and stuff. But if you have skill, that's all you need
