I couldn’t agree more with all he comments about Roger Taylor’s talent. Keep in mind that he did all this without a wireless headset like today’s drummers. He had to be at the mic at the right time without missing a beat. Freddie absolutely took care of his instrument and never drank while performing. Every movement on stage was timed perfectly. Before he passes off his mic, a fresh cup of hot honey and lemon is placed on the piano. That’s what you saw him drink. Thanks for a great reaction!

Even Brain May did a lot of high harmonies in the band. Roger for example never sang the high Bb5 note from Bohemian Rhapsody live. Freddie regularly sang that Bb5 note live even at 40 years old in 1986. It is easier to sing high in falsetto, it is much more difficult to sing high in chest voice. This something that Roger should be praised for more he had a great chest voice as well. There is a lot of incorrect information being thrown about. All 3 Queen vocalist sang high falsetto well.

I was lucky enough to see Queen live (twice) at Madison Square Garden in 1977 and 1979 I believe (may be off on the years). They were the 2 best concerts I’ve EVER been to. Freddie Mercury, in my opinion, had the best rock voice of all time. He had a multi octave voice range, just spectacular, and his showmanship equaled his singing. Brian May on guitar, his style of play was so distinctive, that you always knew it was a Queen song coming on the radio back in the day. Roger Taylor killing it on drums, but was a fantastic singer in his own right. And then John Deacon slapping the bass. Just an amazing band and an amazing version of Someone to Love.

Just found you both & I am thrilled you are reacting to thr legendary rock band QUEEN !!! I subscribed to you too so I don't miss your next QUEEN reactions. I can see you both are the real deal, a beautiful in-love couple who hopefully now get why Freddie Mercury's performances are truly unforgettable. The man was unique & his 4 octave voice was acknowledged by many music people who call him the greatest performer of all time. The further you get down the QUEEN rabbit hole of songs, the more you'll understand why he is loved & listened to in every country every day .... there never was anyone like him. You will also discover that in his early 40s he made an album called BARCELONA singing opera live onstage with MONTSERRAT CABALLE, the world's most famous opera Soprano of the 1980s & 1990s. Freddie wrote all the music of the album, some with his pianoplayer friend, & the lyrics, one opera song in Japanese and another opera in Catalan, the spoken language of MONTSERRAT. He then made a first attempt recording of himself singing IN HER PITCH all of her operatic parts of the songs he wrote & mailed it to her for her approval!!! Remember, she was ten times more famous than he was so she was final apptoval. In fact, he was thrilled she agreed to sing a song with him, but when she heard and saw the extraordinary talents of Freddie, she asked how many songs are on QUEEN albums, he said "about 10", & so she said to Freddie "ok then ...we'll do 10 too !! Try to react to a few of those LIVE concerts too, please? THEY WILL BLOW YOUR MIND !!!! He shocked the world singing opera live to , at that time, the greatest opera singer in the world. That's Freddie Mercury.... " !

@@alvamarsh4290 I believe John Deacon, the bass player, who was rather shy, liked an alcoholic drink (or three) to calm his nerves on stage... and he rarely sang, so the burping wasn't so much of an issue for him. This was a several hours-long performance, during which everyone in the band needed fluids. A piano provides a convenient table top for the band to have their drinks laid out. In later shows, IIUC, they had a sort of tent erected on stage where they could retire to, with a proper refreshments table laid out for them. Morgan Fisher who played keyboards for them during a European tour in around '81 or'82 (?) tells a funny story of them all being in there while Brian was thrilling the audience (but, apparently, boring some of the other band members) with an extra long guitar solo.... He used the ventricular folds in his throat to create subharmonics a technique only ever seen in Tuvan singers. He also had a large jaw. The drummer Roger Taylor has always been the secret weapon for Queen. He does his job with unselfish zeal and is not nearly noted for his supporting vocals. But Queen fans know. The one player in a band you not mess with is the drummer. Roger Taylor should get far more credit than he does. But to his credit he doesn't complain about his situation. A true team player. And deservedly the unit of Freddie, John, Roger, and Brian were one of the all time greatest ever assembled. As we watch this performance from 4o years ago, it reminds us that real music is the most authentic way to touch people. Perhaps we would all be better if we could return to that. Roger Taylor is an AMAZING singer and he always do the high tenor vocals. He's one of the best drummers in music history. Seeing Freddie sing and perform always makes me emotional knowing even then when I saw him in concert 😭 that he was ill with HIV. IT just gets to me

I think that the most amazing thing about Freddie Mercury was that he actually outdid himself and Bohemian Rhapsody when he wrote Somebody To Love. This song still blows my mind.

So many Queen songs to respond to. Freddie's incredible stage presence still gives me cold chills...a talent gone way too soon! He put all he had into his performances.

I was so blessed to have been able to see them live 3 times. This is my favorite Queen song!

I believe they are the greatest group ever. Their shows were incredibly special. Saw them twice in '79 and '81.

Most of the high harmonies on all their songs were done by Roger Taylor. (the drummer) He had unreal range.
@ZENOBlAmusic2 жыл бұрын
No, it wasn't. The high harmonies were done by Roger and Freddie. Roger actually lost his high falsetto in the 80's. In the 80's all of the highest harmonies were done by Freddie.

NO YOU'RE WRONG. FREDDIE COULD HIT ANY NOTE! EVEN OPERA NOTES.

@@bretmccleary6307 I am not trying to be condescending, but this is factual information that can be proven. There are a lot of incorrect information doing the rounds. I make videos on vocals, you check it out if you want more proof.

@@ZENOBlAmusic I didnt say Freddie couldnt hit the notes. I said Roger sang many of them.

There's a fantastic live performance I believe at Wembley stadium of under Pressure where Freddie completely commands like 70,000 people. It's insane.

The fact that Roger can drum AND sing like that at the same time, makes my heart crazy!!!! ❤❤❤

One of my greatest disappointments is not ever having the opportunity to see them live ! while on the subject of Queen you guys need to react to the audience singing Bohemian Rhapsody at a Green Day concert ! THAT will give you goosebumps to

Nice to see youngsters like you appreciate the music and form a honest opinion. I did see them 3 times in the 70s..but I'm a lot older than you youths!!!!

Okay you two are just to cute! This is what my music was growing up, I’m so elated that love Queen, and appreciate their magnificent, majestic sound. Freddie’s voice and passion is unmatched. I think you might enjoy Cool Cat, You Take My Breath away the official video, it is Freddie harmonizing with himself and what makes it even more amazing no computer, no auto tone, just raw talent, and White Queen live at Hammersmith my favorite song of Queen and it’s live it will blow your mind. Pure perfection Yes more Queen please!!! Stay safe darlings ❤️❤️❤️

I'm not sure how I missed this reaction. I love this performance (the entire live album for this is excellent). I had a feeling Asia would love this performance.
