Im 41 and saw this at a sleepover at 8 yrs old lol, being a kid in the 80s and early 90s parents really didn't care, i cant tell you how many horror films ive seen before the age of 10! These are the classics and this one in particular is my all time favorite, along with The Shining, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Exorcist

I saw this when I was 10 years old. Convinced an adult to take me because I heard things. As it goes. We get to the part where Tina is killed, and the adult decides this movie is NOT for me. I had nightmares for days. That was terrifying, and I never got to see Freddy defeated... Ironically, the movie we went to instead was "The Terminator". No violence there... LOL

It's funny. There are different degrees of graphic violence. A war movie with just as much blood hits different than a slasher film. Thanks for watching!

I first watched this when I was like maybe 10. After I had seen one of the goofier sequels. So I thought this one would be like the other one. This one terrorized me for years. But it's also one of my favorite movies ever.
