The song "gyroscope" from Boards of Canada features in this movie. Marcus Eoin, one of the band members, said the song came to him in a dream. He immediately woke up and composed the song, and the end product is so similar to his dream that he still finds it eerie to listen to. Interestingly enough, the idea for the movie also came to Scott Derrickson, the director, in a dream. More precisely, he saw the family hanging from a tree in a nightmare and build the movie starting from there.

Happy to see you guys posting again! The sound design of this movie really creates an unnerving watching experience, especially during the parts where he is watching the tapes! Have you guys watched Confessions (2010 Japanese movie)? Highly recommend it!

So excited to watch this, I just started watching your channel a few days ago at the end of my horror movie spree. I watched the original Japanese versions of Pulse, Ring and Ju-on: The Grudge along with Creepy, The Sadness and Beau is Afraid. Your videos on them were really entertaining, especially since none of my friends like horror so it was nice to see what someone else thought of the films I just saw.
