Nice reaction, my dude! I know it's impossible to convince someone who either isn't from the country or is from the country but didn't grow up out in the woods, that the woods/country is like a million times safer than any city. It would be like someone from a big city trying to convince me that it's perfectly safe to go here, at this time of day, even if all my senses are telling me it isn't true. But I'm gonna at least try to give you some info, even though it probably won't change how you actually feel, you know what I mean? Coyotes are EXTREMELY afraid of people. They're more afraid of being around people than deer, chipmunks, squirrels...basically any woodland creature. We see them once in a while when driving, but they're so skittish that it's basically impossible to even get a picture of them because they run off as soon as they register that it's people in the car. The scene where they're standing guard with the pew-pew because of the coyotes, is just another scene meant to show the boys' immaturity/lack of understanding of the real world before they finally mature by the end of their trip. They're scared of a pack of coyotes who are just communicating with each other from afar. But even *I* have been creeped out by the sound of packs of coyotes while out in the woods, I and already KNOW they're harmless to me (not so harmless to our pets). But because I'm already grown, and have already been through that same situation as those guys when I was their age, my knowledge and experience overrule any irrational fear I might have. ❤ Side note: wolves are also really skittish around people. Just not quite _as_ skittish as coyotes. But it also depends where the wolves live, plus what time of year it is. If there's a big enough wolf pack, somewhere like Alaska, and it's right before/during wintertime when food is scarce, the wolves will tend to be a little braver around people. They might try to steal your meat/fish stash, whereas in other times of the year, they wouldn't go within 3 miles of you. Anyway, that's my 2 cents for the day. I know it probably won't change how you actually FEEL, because you're grown, so you already grew up learning about what was actually dangerous where you're from, and what you once THOUGHT was dangerous. But hopefully it'll give you some insight into why people like me feel a million times safer out in the woods, even complete alone, than we do in the middle of town. 😉☺️

@@veggiesarefruits Hey!! I don’t usually respond to comments on older videos these days but I really appreciate you sharing that with me and also glad you enjoyed the video 🧡🧡 Yeah it’s definitely a the more you know thing as we grow up. I remember how it was as a kid I miss it definitely not looking for dead bodies 😂 but like exploring the woods creating trails & riding bikes w/ friends. Nowadays I do still tend to be very weary outside alone at night and that’s just because I was taught to always watch my surroundings but that’s more towards people than anything else.

@@ShyheimCinema ABSOLUTELY, my dude! Creating trails, riding bikes, making up stories to scare each other, having conversations that were actually important to us then, but conversations we now dismiss as "dumb" or "unimportant" as adults, like the conversation about Goofy and Pluto. Man...we had SO MUCH FUN as kids! There's no way I would EVER want to go look for a dead body (in fact, one of my biggest irrational fears is accidentally finding a body on the beach or in the woods somewhere). But when I was a kid, we would have an absolute BLAST just making up scenarios in our heads. One that me and my friends used to do, was pretend that every hole in the ground or in the side of a tree, was the home of a gnome or an elf. So we'd wait around to try to "sneak up" on them on their way home. 😂 You know? Stuff like that. Pretending we were these superheroes who could read people's minds or fly. Whatever we came up with at the time. It was so real to us! It was more real, than the ACTUAL real sh*t now! This is why I love coming of age stories so much. It reminds me of all the freakin FUN I had as a kid, how important certain things were then, which we brush off as not important at all as adults, how much FUNNIER funny things were as a kid, etc, etc, etc. Man... everyone says it, but things REALLY WERE so much better as kids. ☺️ Again, really appreciate your reaction. It's hard to express just how much this movie meant to literally millions of kids in small town America during and after it came out. I can relate to every single one of those guys, on multiple levels. Soooooo hard to do if you're a scriptwriter and/or movie director, but they managed to do it.

Give me some skin! One of the first real mature movies I remember watching. Agree, it's heartbreaking at the end, even more heartbreaking that River Phoenix passed so young in real life. Just happened upon your channel, will be back!

I just happened upon you. This was great! I love Stand By Me! If you get a mind to read the novella called the Body from a Stephen King collection called Different Seasons. In fact, I would highly recommend reading all four of the stories in that collection. The first one is called Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. That might ring the bell too!! Keep up the good work! I’m going to look for more of your videos! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💜✌🏼😘

It's kind of funny. I've watched almost every reaction video to this film on KZbin and almost no one notices the connection between Christopher Chambers, in the newspaper article, and Chris Chambers in the tree house at the beginning of the film. Most likely, the newspaper article is shown too briefly? Or what's the reason people don't get it until the end when the grown up Gordie tells it?
@ShyheimCinema Жыл бұрын
It was definitely something I didn’t pick up on until I was editing it. I can only speak for myself, my brain lives in the present moment so unless my brains focused on trying to uncover something the whole time I don’t think back to connections like that in that moment because I’m still dwelling on the ending. Plus yeah it was shown very briefly and since it was at the very beginning I didn’t really care much about it.
