Originally, it was suppose to end after 5 seasons but due to the fans, they decided to extend it. There are so many more characters that are yet to be introduced and amazing storylines to be told! Sam didn't have the connection with his mom like Dean. The revenge Dean and John was after wasn't emotional enough for Sam. It was Jessica's death that pushed him to get the revenge. So yes he went back hunting BECAUSE Jess died.

Why? He lost the love of his life and his own life and his children's were changed forever. You think there was any chance of normal after that night. Mary was the one who set things in motion because of a choice she made and she was the one who kept secrets about who she really was so John was in the dark the entirety of their marriage so he had to find out the hard way about the supernatural's existence. In the end both John and Mary made mistakes that ended up hurting their children but they did the best they could with the terrible hand that they were dealt.

You all just want to ignore earlier lore from the show where they make it clear John never physically abused his kids and as late as season 5 when Sam gets to talk to the young version of his father he sees and understands the man he used to be and why he became the man that he did and he became a hardened bastard to make sure Sam and Dean could protect themselves against any supernatural threats. Yes the way Sam and Dean were raised was fucked up nobody will deny that but Sam and Dean were never going to have that normal life they wanted during childhood because the demons were behind Sam every step of the way and the angels were just lying in wait to start their apocalypse with their two chosen vessels.

@@stvrmistic3700 As I said before John didn't do everything right and yes his choices hurt and scarred his children psychologically but he never physically abused his kids that's all fanfiction you guys came up with, Sam says they're lucky that John didn't turn into Max Miller's dad and beat them that's established all the way back in season 1 and in season 4 Sam says dad did right by us so what if we didn't have a dog or a white picket fence he taught us to protect ourselves. For every bad thing you guys can say about him Sam and Dean have come up with plenty of good things he did and they love him and they know deep down he loved them too.

Sam doesnt have a good relationship with his Dad and Jess was his only semblance of normalcy that he wanted since he was young. So Sam refusing to go find their Dad at first was a good response and Jess' death was his last straw since this means that there is probably something out there that is doing this to the people around them.

It's so fun watching people watch SPN for the first time! I just want to yell out answers and explanations but I can't. Watch the entire show! (or at least seasons 1-5) It's so worth it...just keep in mind season 1 is kind of slow. They spend a lot of time setting up the character's personalities, backstory, exposition, etc. so it can be a bit lackluster, but once you get into season 2, it just takes off.

Supernatural family and crew are very tight with their fans and fans begged for it to continue m, I think they even chipped in with possible ideas etc. I personally couldn't watch it all, but I have seen the last few episodes. I would recommend watching at least the first five series in entirety because they plotted out those five as a complete show so you miss out on a lot if you skip episodes- after that they mostly do single season arcs, but the first five are best when you watch the whole thing. I used to LOVE this show so much, was a super big fan but stopped watching at some point around season 12 because I was tired (I may finish it some day). But I still enjoy watching people reactions to the show. The show is finished, season 15 was the last. I know 15 seasons with more than 20 episodes a season is A LOT to react to. If you are interested but it seems too long my advice is to start thinking about it as if it was just 5 seasons and when you get there you decide if you want to stop or watch more, because the first 5 seasons are a complete arc so stopping with the season 5 ending will totally feel as if you watched a full show and everyone in the fandom agree that the first 5 seasons are good. After season 5 opinions vary more, personally I love some characters you meet after season 5 and some of my favourite episodes are after season 5 too.

My favorite part of this reaction had nothing to do with your actual reaction to the show, it was when you saw the number of seasons after talking about thinking it had 7. Yep, that's right, 15 long seasons that are both worth it and sometimes so stressful you wanna yank your hair out at times. It is SO worth it though man, I promise you that if you stick with it ( however long it takes you to get through it all) you'll get to the end and wish it never did end. I remember taking a couple years off from watching at season 10, to watch other shows and movies and to focus on school, by the time I came back they were wrapping up season 14 and I was completely dumbfounded that it was still going. Despite the long run though, I don't regret picking it back up and finishing it, because this story, these characters.. their like family now, a part of me, something that makes me happy when I feel like shit. It's truly a show, a fandom, and a cast that you don't just forget when it's all over, and I really hope that you DO continue to the end.

I couldn't sleep for few weeks because I was afraid of the yellow eyed demon standing at the top of my bed lol But I totally recommend watching the whole thing. This is just my opinion but my opinion on best Seasons are, 1, 2 and 3 being a must watch. 4 and 5 are great for the introduction of Crowley and Castiel and ending the arc started in the first 3 seasons. Season 6 and 7 are awful with only an important character death making it worth watching and introduction to important friend character, Charlie. Season 8 is the introduction of Henry Winchester which brings the show back to its roots on hunting Demons and this plot line continues to be one of my favourite moments for the show, this ends at Season 10's finale. Afterwards I really, really don't recommend the last few seasons after 10. I have met Dean, Sam, Bobby, Crowley and majority of the cast apart from Castiel. They're really all nice people. ❤️

Seasons 1-5 are one complete arc, the show was so big that the fans wanted more so the made more 10 seasons more. The characters are so likable that it just didn’t get boring, some episodes weren’t as great but then there were some phenomenal ones. I’d say after 5 it’d be totally fine to only do reactions to the highest rated episodes in a season if you wanted to.
