Watching this as a ten year old kid was mind blowing.🤯 I can remember it so vividly. I am 42 now and I can still watch this movie every year and be fascinated just like the first time. This was such a great reaction!! Keep it up 👍🏼

The film still holds up. So many films and their special effects don't but this film is one of the exceptions. I still love The Mummy franchise from the 90s but it's SPfx have aged poorly, IMO.

Sarah going after Miles is symbolic because at that moment she was acting like a terminator. Its a shame Miles dies tho. Yes he would be responsible for Skynet but he was a stand up guy and family man and had no idea what was gonna happen. I always love the ending with everything Arnold says to John and the final thumbs up, its just great.

In the first Terminator movie Kyle Reese tells Sarah Connor that the AI robots wouldn't exist for 40 years and that movie was made in 1984 and if you add 40 years to that year you get the year 2024, which we have AI robots now.

One of my favorite things in the helicopter chase is the fact that the T1000 has 3 arms while hes flying the chopper. And the fact the T1000 starts glitching after the liquid nitrogen.... they cut out a few more of the glitches from the final but they left a few.
@Calamity_Jack4 ай бұрын
Yeah, the extended cut shows more about how the T1000 is finally starting to show wear and tear by glitching out, especially after reforming in the smelter. In fact, it's one way John was able to tell the T1000 from his mom, by the glitched shoes. The theatrical release edited most of those out.

John didn't "kill" a terminator to reprogram it. In T2 lore it was said that when they infiltrated the base where Skynet was they had found terminators that weren't "turned on" yet and reprogramed the T800 from there. At 18:35 that was a real blow to the nose. There was supposed to had been an earlier scene where the orderlie hits Sarah in the stomach to make her take her meds. It was supposed to had been right after Silberman tells him to make sure she takes them. The actor was pretty hesitant to hit Hamilton with his nightstick which caused a lot of takes of a physically demanding sequence for Hamilton (one that didn't even make the theatrical cut and resulted in her falling hard on her knees on a hard floor many times). Her hitting him in the nose was payback from that frustration. One of the hits after he hits the floor was real also.

1. Linda Hamilton should have been at least an Acadamy Award for best actress. 2. My guess is that stove is hot🧐 3. We have limited AI now, so does China.😱😱 4. Arnold did many, but not all of his own stunts in this movie, including riding the motorcycle. At one point he was injured, and they had to stop production for a couple of weeks so he could recover. 5. Arnold is not left-handed, but the way he works that shotgun is impressive 6. The twin security guards also play in "Good Morning Vietnam". 7. GOOF: Enrique's dogs don't respond to "Uncle Bob" as a Terminator. 8. "I need a vacation" was ad lib. 9. This is the action movie GOAT.🤩

1981's LOOKER is a pretty decent film that brings in AI and 'use of others' images' quite effectively. Also, 2002's S1M0NE with Al Pacino is another step forward for AI.

A woman actually wrote this movie along with the Matrix and she sued James Cameron and she ended up with a Oscar. The book she wrote had to do with what's really going to happen on earth. The movies were watching they throw the truth in our faces even with kids movies, it's disgusting if you do the research and dig down the rabbit hole.

The main reason the later movies are considered bad is because they are not really sequels. It is basically a whole new world. If you go in with that mindset, it may help.
@Calamity_Jack4 ай бұрын
I dunno, man. Some of the later plots are so convoluted they give you a headache trying to figure them out. And some lean a bit too heavily on flashy CGI to carry the movie instead of a great story. But then again, the Terminator universe is cool, so I've watched all of them, including "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" (an excellent TV series canceled too soon). The first two movies outshine the others, though, IMO.
