Hi everyone! Big apologies for missing the mid-credit scene where Thanos is introduced. I have seen it now and am very excited to learn more about his character and how he plays into everything! :) I’m aware that most of the movies moving forward will in fact have 2 or more post-credit scenes lol! Thank you all so much for watching and hope you stick around for my next MCU reaction, Iron Man 3 ❤

Thought I'd fill u in on that last talk Fury had with the council...In the comic version, they thretened to prosecute him by Congressional hearing from "letting" Thor take Loki/Tessoract back to Asgard. Fury's response? "Go right ahead.. I bet the world media and President would love to know why you ordered a nuclear strike that would've killed 300,000 people-And made the rest of state uninhabitable for 50 years when my team had the situation handled." if no one's mentioned it, the Old man who refuses to kneel to Loki is really symbolic/important. He is an old german man, and the quote Loki: "You will always kneel" /Old man: "Never to men like you" is him directly comparing Loki's actions to that of Hitler. It's such good writing.

Fun Fact: the reason Hawkeye is used as a villain for the first part of the movie is most likely a reference to his comic book counterpart being a supervillain for a while. Hawkeye was originally a villain who worked with Black Widow (also a villain at the time). Eventually he got tired of being a bad guy and decided to join the Avengers.

Absolutely perfect way to include that element of his story in my opinion. Shows how dangerous he could be as a villain and then leads perfectly into the rest of his character arc for the rest of the series

Since you love Couslon so much, you absolutely have to watch Agents of Shield if you haven't already. It's timeline starts soon after this movie and it's major thing is that Coulson is still alive. He's one of the lead characters in the show and he gets his own special team of Agents. The whole first season revolves around the mystery of why and how he's alive after what happened to him here. It's really good and Coulson finally gets to be the big hero.

If one takes into account the universe mechanics developed later in the MCU, it does actually fit really well. I also won't go into specifics here. Loki in the comics is actually the one to bring The Avengers together. Loki had control over the Hulk who went on a rampage throughout New York leading to The Avengers coming together to fight for the first time. The roster though is different with the members being Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Antman, and The Wasp. Both Black Widow and Hawkeye were villains at the time in the eyes of the reader while Captain America wasn't discovered until later when The Avengers themselves came across Cap frozen in the ice. Same with the Ultimate Universe (Started in 2000 as a reimagined and moderized universe where Marvel could start from the beginning for a new generation) as well where Hulk went on a rampage when he discovered that Betty was on a date with the actor Freddie Prince Jr going on a Ramage throughout New York and killing alot of innocent people. The Ultimate's are sent in made up of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Antman, and The Wasp. In the Ultimate Universe the Avengers are known as The Ultimate's and act closer to an elite group of Shield working closer with the Government rather than for themselves.

Fun fact this film made The Avengers household names along with the whole build up to this film starting with Iron Man and the mention of the Avengers by Nick Fury. Before this the X-Men were far more well known from the 1980s comics along with New Mutants to the amazing X-Men Animated show in the 1990s and the X-Men films from the early 2000s. No one really wanted the rights to characters like Ironman, Captain America, Antman, etc. Hulk was really the only well known member thanks to the 1970s Hulk show and the 2003 film but beyond this no one really put too much focus on The Avengers. I even remember watching the Marvel cartoons in the 1990s and the Avengers were always side background characters in other hero's shows like Spider-Man and Fantriasic Four. Iron Man and Hulk both had a cartoon but Captain America was just kinda in the background in a few episodes or teamed up with Wolverine in the X-Men show. So yeah it's pretty amazing how well known The Avengers became after this film. In terms of DC The Justice league were far more well known by the mainstream audience as most of their main roster had shows or movies from Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash etc. Then the whole DC Animated Universe in the 1990s that gave birth to the Justice League shows in the 2000s a decade before The Avengers films. DC did try to catch up with Marvel but it was rushed and we had Man of Steel and straight into Batman VS Superman, Wonder Woman etc, and then Justice League with very little build up.

Actually, on the MCU timeline, "Agents of Shield" starts right after the events of "Iron Man 3". Things you see in that movie, along with the "Avengers", are directly related to the first 7 episodes of "Agents of Shield". "Thor: The Dark World" is touched on starting with episode 8. The tie-in with "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" starts with episode 17. You really should watch "Agents of Shield". Seeing how you reacted to one of the pivotal scenes in this movie, I can say that many fans had the same feeling. They started a campaign that resulted in the creation of "Agents of Shield". Another One Shot! Excellent! "The Avengers" still ranks as my top two MCU movies (Number 1 flips between this and another upcoming movie). *FYI Loki's Play:* Everyone was arguing with each other because Loki's scepter was putting out a signal designed to aggravate anyone nearby. It was meant for Dr. Banner (unleash the Hulk), but it turned out to be somewhat effective on Steve & Tony as well. Thanks to how the team handled things, a brainwashed Hawkeye did more damage to the SHIELD Helicarrier than Hulk. People often underestimate what Hawkeye can do.

@@LifeisANovel Agreed. They do the "rage" thing in the other "Hulks," but they don't present it as well. A bit TOO subtle, but there. Various Fun Facts; if you notice, Tony is munching on some dried fruit snacks in one scene, and offers some to Banner. In reality, RDJ loved to squirrel snacks all over the sets, so Whedon decided to work that into the movie. Tony's new suit includes shoulder thrusters, so he could hover like in the comics. Whedon said he didn't want Iron Man "flying around like Tinker Bell," so the should jets were added to the new suit. They were jettisoned when he ran out of energy re-routing the nuke. The main reason Tony was originally so antagonistic to Cap goes back to his daddy issues. Recall when he claimed his father never said he loved him, or even liked him? Apparently Howard Stark went on & on about Captain America to his son, who (I suspect) became subconsciously jealous. Ruffalo was the first actor to wear a motion capture suit, so the Hulk was based on his movements. They also made his face a lot more like Ruffalo. The voice was a combination of Ruffalo and Lou Ferrigno. Notice that when Thor first went to retrieve his hammer after escaping the "death room," he hesitated. My interpretation is that he was momentarily worried that he was no longer worthy to pick up the hammer again.

You'll learn more about vibranium later. Dr Banner has not been diagnosed in the MCU, but he has multiple personality disorder. Hulk is a separate persona. In the Marvel universe, New York gets destroyed like every other week. Maria Hill is a badass. Never underestimate her. I like Edward Norton as an actor overall, but having watched all the MCU movies, I can’t imagine anyone other than Ruffalo as The Hulk. Also, some comments ask why MCU has under utilized Hulk. It’s because until recently, the Hulk doesn’t belong to Marvel Disney, it’s the same reason it took so long to bring in other very well known properties owned by Universal or Fox. With Norton, as you’ll find in your journey, that would be way too many alpha personalities on set.

Ok so, I've seen it in a bunch of fanfics but i just looked it up to see if it was fanon or canon and- it seems like it was confirmed by Marvel at some point that in this movie, Loki was affected by the scepter himself without knowing it, it further fueling his hatred for Thor and earth, which explains why he's more ruthless here than anywhere else. There is a VERY long-standing fan theory (that existed long before that partial confirmation) that considers the possibility that Loki himself was being affected or controlled by the scepter, the guy he was working for, and/or was tortured by the folks he was working under. So, if Loki broke your heart a bit in this, just know that his judgement was at least to some degree affected by the scepter's power. Not that the writers seem to really address this at any point, but i think it's an interesting thing to know.

You loved Coulson as much as I did. You will love Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D if you decide to go there. The first season deals with the mystery of how he's still alive. Here's one vote for you watching that show. It's the best of all Marvel TV shows including the ones on Disney+.

Keep in mind that Agents of SHIELD is not canon to the MCU and Coulson is, in fact, dead in the MCU.
@Scott-ec4cs
@Scott-ec4cs Жыл бұрын
@WebSpyder777 Understandable that you think that, but not correct. S.H.I.E.L.D began solidly as canon. Rumors that Fiege didn't like it and bailed on it midway through its run left its canon status in doubt, but it has since been confirmed as canon. And if the leaks are true, some of the characters will be reprising their roles in Secret Invasion, not in an alternate universe way like Daredevil, but as their characters in this universe. So take heart, you don't have to ignore it as non-canonical.

Tony made the suit capable of charging from unusual and external sources after his encounters with whiplash in ironman 2 and was able to charge his suit with thor's lightning, because tony learns from his mistakes And the mk8 he suits up with in free fall is also full with upgrades that obviously make putting the armor on faster and easier, but also has chest and back thrusters to make it easier to use his hands for other stuff because tony learns from his mistakes "Imagine the cleanup time", wait till you see spiderman homecoming Also in the shawarma scene, Chris Evans stays with his face on his fist and does nothing to hide the beard he had to grow for another role because they added that scene after shooting the movie

Help you a little, The scepter can be controlled by Loki. In the beginning of the movie the creature said Loki was chosen because he could get the cube and destroy Humans. Second it was his plan to be captured and stop Shield and use the Hulk. Plus Make them fight each other.

When this movie came out, it was revolutionary in its time. Cuz all the heroes introduced in separate movies coming together ij one movie to fight a common villain? No one in their wild dreams would've thought of something like that happening outside of the comics... And this was the first shot, in a streak of great Marvel movies! And you know what? Your viewing of the one shots made Coulson's death more meaningful and emotional for you. Most people didn't know about these existing until later, myself included. Congratulations on finishing with Phase 1... it's been a good one 🎉🥂 Also WHAT? Didn't even recognise the lady at the end as Ashley Johnson until now lmao... Yeah the shawarma post credits scene was a complete after-thought which came to the director after the movie premiered. He got all the actors gathered for a last minute shoot next day after the premiere to shoot that scene... If you think about it, it kinda humanizes the heroes and shows that they get tired of their job too, and they gotta chill a bit 😂 Next up: Beginning of Phase 2 with Iron Man 3... and I have a suggestion with it. After you're done watching the movie, you can watch the One-Shot called All Hail The King. Without saying much, it's set after Iron Man 3 and you'll like it... Peace! ✌

I agree with you about Ruffalo, like he’s good as the Hulk, but I usually know for tough guy roles, so in this, when he tries to play, socially awkward and shy, it just feels a bit off. But he still does a good job overall and I love the movie as well.

Nortons depiction of Hulk was more comic accurate. The MCU put Ruffalo in the role and watered Hulk Strength down.

This was also my favorite movie of all time when it came out. It took 7 years for another movie in this franchise to replace it. Ed Norton never felt like a proper Bruce Banner to me. Ruffalo does. I didn't know who he was at the time (even though I had seen him in a few things), but he proved to be the perfect actor for the job. Colson dying was a kick in the teeth. I was so glad when Agents of Shield came out the next year, even if it was eventually divorced from the canon.
