This movie was released in 1999 & directed by Malcolm D. Lee. He’s the cousin of Spike Lee. He tried to release the movie before The Wood but he came up short by a few months. This movie also has the messiest friend group ever. One of Nia Long’s first acting roles was on the sitcom 227 starring Regina King. Yall should have watched through the credits to the very end: the morning after the wedding you see two people waking up naked in bed and they literally scream when they turn over to look at each other then the screen goes black: it's Quentin & Shelby, hung over and completely horrified they slept together 😂😂😂

It's always amazing to me that nobody ever holds Mia accountable for her part. She was the one that initiated that whole thing and used Harper for her own selfish agenda. Was Harper wrong for allowing it? Yes. Was he an idiot for putting it in a book? Yes Yes. But that doesn't absolve Mia from being held responsible and accountable for being the mastermind behind the whole thing. Remember, she chose to marry Lance with no intention on telling him. She was holding that info to use at some later date to hurt him She's a villain.

In the original movie literally all of the characters besides Robin are flawed and take up some blame for how everything played out Harper - Narcissist Lance - Womanizer, Liar, Cheater, Violent Murch - Snitch, could not hold water Mia - Manipulative Jordan - Trifling, was 100% gone sleep with Harper if he didn’t get into that one sided squabble with Lance knowing he had a girl Quentin - Instigator, I actually liked his character the most, he was true to himself and kept it real but he was definitely a troll Shelby - Same as Mia but worse

Harper is the most horrible guy in this movie. He’s living a double life with two women that don’t even know each other. Imagine there was a fight between Jordan and Robin for trying to get to sleep with her man. Harper was wanting to do it before he almost got killed by Lance. He should’ve never wrote that book. I still love this movie because it’s a classic. Hope y’all react to Light it up, Save the last dance, and Coach Carter.

Also I took the conversation between Robin and Harper at the airport different because when she said "you wanted to sleep with her" means he didn't after that she mentioned ruining the wedding, so I think they were indicating Harper literally "slept" with Mia just sleeping nothing else.
