Tom a terrible lawyer. Didn't even read his daughter's contract.
@nazzynaz974 ай бұрын
He did bail Grandad out of jail tho. So I wouldn't call him terrible. Negligent maybe.

@naz1538 Getting the boxing license for Grandad's fight with Stinkmeaner was 100% Huey's idea, guaranteed.

It’s crazy how people enjoy watching shows with like this that is satire but obviously joking around but then get offended just because someone watching for the first time doesn’t understand fully about something or is just joking, especially someone who’s not American. I came here for a first time reaction of the show and that’s what I got. Your reactions are great and I always look forward to watching them on the Boondocks. Keep it up and don’t listen to those people. Can’t wait for your reaction on the next episode

Making Huey a little kid was a great way to hide the truth in plain sight . He spoke factual.
@NickEclipse4 ай бұрын
Yeah, if you remember, Huey hates it in Woodcrest because it’s predominantly white. He was happier in their hometown, Chicago(where they went last episode for the funeral). The creator of the series actually had the same thing happen to him as a kid, which is why he can appeal to both white and black audiences.

Jazmine in this episode reminds you that some people willingly put themselves in situations where they are taken advantage of and don’t want to be helped out of it too.

She is the representation of the proletariat, whom are told by society if they want to live and not survive all their life they must “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” and how the bourgeoisie will exploit the working class by promises of false success.

A lot of references to the Spike Lee movie "Do The Right Thing," which takes place during a heat wave in New York.

Hi, Asylka-chan. Ed Wuncler, despite being an entertaining character voiced by the late great Ed Asner, it ain't no surprise he is such a cold-hearted billionaire landlord manipulator the way he humiliated that cute girl Jazmine and everyone who ain't upper class. I even felt intimidated yet laughing out loud the way he told Tom that if he interfered he would commit some old gangster s-word. A top tier antagonist on The Boondocks.

Tom is very naive for a lawyer who somehow never notices how shady of a billionaire businessman Ed Wuncler really is.

U.S. black male here. I’m glad you’re enjoying the show. I would watch the Boondocks with some white friendships of mine when the show aired on TV. They would be so nervous to laugh. I would have to constantly remind them that I’m not offended. This show is hilarious & profound.

I always look forward to your reactions because i enjoy your point of view. When your done with boondocks, i can recommend some shows that are just as good as the boondocks. As your channel begins to grow you should also start a patron.

So, it's not great of Tom because he did mess up by not reading the contract. But It's also probably the fact that when Jasmine didn't come in when he told her, Wuncler basically said if you interfere I'm probably gonna have you killed. That's what he meant by "We can get into some old gangster shit." Throw in that Ed probably owns the bank that owns Tom's house just like Grandad, and it's basically him vs. the most powerful man in the city.
