Fun fact, when the producers started making this movie, they wanted an account of what actually happened irl there so they got the book written by Andrea Perron, one of the daughters which tells their real story. After reading it the first thing they said was that we cannot put most of the stuff in here in the movie, because they won’t be able to get an R rating if they did.

The thing I love about horror is that the more you watch, the tougher you get. Keep it up, and you'll be able to tackle your Exorcists, Saw, and Texas Chainsaw (you need a lot more before tacking Martyrs) in no time.

My paranormal story (related to me by my parents): When I was 3 years old, my parents were downstairs, and I was sleeping in my upstairs bedroom. Suddenly, they heard all this commotion, me screaming and crying. So they ran up to my bedroom to see what was up. And I was just terrified and going on about a man being in the corner of my room. My dad flips on the lights and stays to calm me down, and my mom heads back downstairs. Right when she gets back to their bedroom, she gets a call that her dad died in the last five minutes. **X-Files music**

Our subconscious picks up on patterns that our conscious mind is too frantic to see, I think. So maybe it's possible that, based on cues that we might not be able to categorize, we can sense these things coming as or before they happen, and so the recognization of those patterns coalesce as our dreams.

same thing kinda happened to me... one day i was cleaning up and the room next to me was my mom and my brother, they were having a convo when all of a sudden i heard my name being called "Kuya" (Kuya Filipino word for Big Brother) i quickly ran to the next room and i was like "what" but my mom and brother were still having a convo... i thought i was hearing things which was so weird because i swear i thought they mentioned the word KUYA which they denied.. the next day i found out that one of my old friends has passed away the day before and she would always call me "kuya" even though we were like one year apart :(

For the longest time there was a little girl in one of the rooms in my house. I never saw her because I never slept in the room until later, but my sister and mom saw it. It would sit curled up at the foot of the bed against the wall. I think one time it woke my sister up by laying in the bed with her and calling her name or something as well. My mom saw it just outside the bedroom door sitting the same as my sister always described, with it's back against the wall (except in this case the door) and with it's arms around it's curled up legs. At the time she thought it was a stack of books because it was dark, but the next morning she realized. Eventually it got worse and physical, actually pulling her foot just like the girl in this movie, so we had a family friend bless the house and ever since then we've never seen it. My grandparents house is also haunted, because my whole family including me has experienced something there. My grandparents just recently have realized, but my mom was constantly trying to tell them lol. I was sleeping in the room that had the incidents happen before in it, I was 8 I think and just visiting for a week or two. I was sleeping with my mom and woke up randomly. I saw her sitting on the edge of the bed with her back facing me, but then I noticed she was actually still lying next to me so I looked over. She noticed I sat up and asked "what's wrong?" I looked back at the foot of the bed and saw nothing. I answered "I thought I saw you at the end of the bed." And went back to sleep. She was the only one who knew the room had things happen in it before, and the house was haunted, so she got freaked out lol. These ghosts and spirits might seem like lost family or people who still have reasons either to not move on or show they still care about you and are watching over you, but trust me, ghosts don't exist. When you die, there's no such thing as not going anywhere and not "moving on" because of some regret or feeling. Demons are real, and they deceive you. Believe it or not, but the truth is the truth. This is why people always experience bad turn of events when they simply try to connect/converse with "spirits" with a ouija board or something, and they find something a little more evil. Like the movie says, these conduits don't want to just skip around in the hallways and live happily ever after with you inside an object, they want you. They to harm you, your friends, family, and anyone they can. Possession is real, and they will change your whole personality. You'll find yourself going out to hunt wild animals half naked and eating raw meat. Cannibalism isn't just a disease someone gets, it's a mental illness that comes from either possession or some form of insane trauma that later invites demons. Schizophrenia doesn't even have a legitimate cause or explanation. No cure, no information. And guess what? It perfectly imitates possession. Voices, doing things out of your control, blacking out. Mpd out of nowhere? You really believe it's just luck? There are forces in this world. I've experienced it first and second hand. Actually, everyone has somehow. They might not know, but it's true. And we still will believe it's all fiction.

Heard a little girl giggle on moving day of my new room. 4. Heard a man say 'hello' next ti my ear. 5. Had air blown on my check. 6. Rocking chair would rock on its own. 7. Had multiple things moved around my room since I was 7 (I'm 18) 8. Saw a shadow figure in my parents room staring at the spot where my mom sleeps in first place I lived (in broad daylight). 9. I've had dreams abt a family member dying/being told they were dead and then they died a week later irl. 10. My moms whole paternal side are empaths, my grandpa is a healer and my great-aunt was a witch.

Only paranormal experience I can recall is when my wife and I first moved in together. It was this super old cabin on a creek. It was a split level cabin and it had 3 wooden steps that made a very distinct pattern of sounds going up the steps and going down the steps. Like you knew when there was someone heavy walking up the steps. So my wife and I are laying in the guest room (we were playing Diablo 2 on LAN on our laptops) - and then suddenly we hear 3 steps going down the stairs. Creaking exactly like it would if someone walked down. Then silence. We just looked at each other, acknowledging to each other that we both heard it. Then we hear a quick shuffling noise on the tile at the bottom of the stairs, like someone dragged their shoe on the floor, and then 3 footsteps back up the steps, making the same creaking pattern as if someone walked up the steps - and there was absolutely no one else in the cabin. It was very small, nowhere to really hide quietly or unseen.

From a skeptic's perspective, the "true story" aspect of these films is a major stretch. Ed and Lorraine Warren were basically grifters who attached themselves to whatever "paranormal" cases were making headlines at the time - usually families looking for attention or trying to get out of a mortgage or something like that. The first two films are so much fun, though, it's better to just not think about that. Loved the reaction!

As far as the "true story" of the Conjuring House goes, there are multiple conflicting reports (welcome to ghost story fact checking) but what seems to be the most congruent is: 1) The daughter who supposedly witnessed the entire exorcism (which was a seance done) was quite young and was sneaking around to watch it, so her accounts probably weren't fully accurate 2) Bathsheba Sherman wasn't an actual witch, but she was falsely accused back in her time and people desecrated her grave after this film came out including stealing the headstone of the grave 3) There is a good chunk of information that would suggest that there is SOMETHING in the real life Conjuring house, but to my knowledge nobody has sacrificed a child for Satan in it nor has anyone been demonically possessed in the house

I'd seen videos of the actual Warren museum; the real Annabelle doll is a common Raggedy Ann doll that the daemon still inhabits. The Warrens are both dead, but those who maintain the place STILL keep "Annabelle" in its display-case, and nobody's allowed to touch the doll, itself. They have so many artifacts in that place that they'd actually had to expand on the place, if I remember correctly.

The Conjuring movies are great horror films, but real stories? No. Ed and Lorraine Warren were ruthless con-artists and grifters who did a lot of absolutely awful things and preyed on people's fears. If they ever ran into anything truly supernatural it was by pure accident, and they probably did more harm than good. You can rest assured that everything they ever claimed they experienced was most likely a bald-faced lie.

Yeh now I not a big horror fan. I don't usually catch horror or even ghosts movies much. However this one I can say indeed when seeing at the theatre, at least myself, I got scared and creeped out more then any movie I can recall as I was watching it on the big screen

I’m new to your channel, like I subbed 10 minutes ago. Since you're starting to get into horror, from what I understand, you should take a look at a short film called "Amelia", it's 1 of the 3 stories in the Trilogy Of Terror TV movie. It came out in the mid 70s, stars Karen Black, and it's only about 25 minutes long. I think you'd love it, and you don’t even have to watch it at night, even though that would be more awesome… and definately watch it alone.

These movies are consistently fun and spooky! But a tip: don't read about the real-life Warrens if you want to continue enjoying the films, they're far less wholesome than their fictional counterparts.

Everyone that knows me knows that I'm very easy to scare, but they also know that i love watching scary movies. When i watch horror movies, i tend to watch them by myself, in my room, in total darkness, at night. Why do i do that to myself, coz im crazy 😂😂
