@RobinoyoReacts, You should really stop with with episode 1 of the Flash, and at least watch the 1st two seasons of Arrow, just so that you don't get lost later on in Season 2 of The Flash. If you don't, nothing else, especially when the crossovers start are going to make any sense. I love your reactions though.

To be fair lots of people started with Flash. You aren’t alone. Only confusing part will come when you get to the major crossovers. Because one part of the crossover is on one show and the other part is on the other show.

Yeah, I remember I watched The Flash first and on my first time watching in several years I decided to actually watch Arrow this time, but I still started with The Flash. I think I watched 2-3 episodes of Arrow for every episode of The Flash until I got caught up.

What makes Eobald Thawne such a great villain, either on comics or TV show(for different reasons). Is that he's a real one. He Hates the flash with every piece of his body. But He also respect The Flash. He isn't one of theses villains who's ashamed of his acts or think he isn't villanous. He knows he's a bad guy, and he helds it with proud. Including admiting that, if he's dead, theres no reason to fuck someone he doesn't really care to hurt. So he really had love and afection for the ppl on STAR Labs, but he won't fuck his plan for them. His one of my favorite villains ever and this version is simply awesome.

Jay Garrick isn't just an earlier Flash in the comics. He was the first Flash. He was the Flash in the Golden Age of comics. The Golden Age of Comics started in the late 30's with the first appearance of Superman and lasted up until 1956. It included the first versions of Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, and others. The Silver Age of Comics started in 1956 when they introduced a new version of The Flash, with Barry Allen carrying the title and wearing a new, streamlined red suit. Barry Allen's Flash is considered one of the important characters in comics because he ushered in that Silver Age. Jay Garrick's Flash still exists in the comics, and the comics were enhanced so that Jay Garrick's Flash was one of Barry's heroes when he was a kid.

Ah Jay Garrick the first version of the Flash, from the DC Golden Age of Comic Books (1938-1956) when DC updated the comic books the 1st time for a younger generation of readers. they desided to add more Sci-fi into the storys so over the years they used the Multiverse to explane why Earth-1 and Earth-2 did not interact very oftern. that way Earth-1 Flash was Barry and Earth-2 Flash was Jay Garrick. the next episode explanes most of in show version. Earth-2 went from WW2 to into(not a coldwar Era) but a 2nd American civil war, lead by there President McCarthy. Basicly comic books wise it was done to keep the older fans happy and reinvent the timeline for new fans, so thay could stay in business after a lot of the kid readers got older and stopped reading. Oh this Episode embraces one of the most anoying Tropes around, basicly braking up the team at the start of the season, just to waste time reuniteing them all back into the team by the end of the first episode of the season. It feels pointless and a bit insulting to the fans each time they do it.

Just 1 episode of flash a day while doing like 3 episodes of arrow a day. That’s what most reactors do about getting back on track with the arrowverse timeline when they start with the wrong show, other wise great reaction and shows all aound. So long as eventually all your questions get answered

Hooray that you started season 2, and what a season it will be. But here's a fun piece of trivia for you, in case no one mentioned it: The mayor of Central City is Mayor Bellows. He is a giant continuity nod. Both the character (and the actor that played him) came from the 1990 Flash TV series, the same one that starred John Wesley Shipp (Barry's dad), Mark Hamill (The Trickster), and Amanda Pays (Dr. Tina McGee). Of course, back then, Anthony Bellows was just a simple police officer. His thing was that he was the only guy to see the Flash in action, but nobody ever believed him. In future seasons of this show, remarks will be made about how Mayor Anthony Bellows used to be a cop. I love those kind of touches. Yes, Atom Smasher is the character's real name. He's a legacy comics character, a superhero and a member of the Justice Society of America, the precursor to the Justice League that existed in the Golden Age of Comics, the first comics superhero team, and whose founding members included Jay Garrick (see other commenters about Jay Garrick). Atom Smasher was the godson of another founding member of the JSA, The Atom. No, not the guy that shrinks. Different Atom. I know, I know, it can be confusing. But they did a soft continuity reboot between the Golden Age and the Silver Age. What do you expect?

That's just one thing about the flash. I remember like 4/5 years ago when I both the CD/DVD of three Series and two of them being CWs - The Flash and Supergirl. I watched the first episodes of both and I just ended up watching the flash and I didn't even watch Supergirl anymore 😅, I just spent all my time watching the flash and i bought the CD's till season 6 and I watched the rest online. It was also then that flash became my favorite superhero which was previously Spiderman, and it was also then that I noticed their similarities as heroes 🤔

The way it works is when Eddie killed himself a whole new time line is made and it’s a universe where thorn was never born never killing Barry’s mum etc but it doesn’t change the current timeline it just makes a whole new one

It did change the current timeline, otherwise Eobard would never be erased from existence. My personal head canon is Eddie only killed himself to kill Eobard. With Eobard never being born, Eddie wouldn't die. Therefore, to avoid the paradox everything that Eobard did BEFORE he ended up being responsible for Eddie dying still happened. Season 2 gives a similar explanation but then in season 5 ... I'm not gonna spoil.

not exactly this isnt the avengers time travel in this is different as in changing the past actually does affect the current timeline. Its just that if eddie died thawne is never born and never goes back in time meaning eddie wouldn't have killed himself so its a paradox not a different timeline.

The singularity fixed a lot of questions that might have been raised otherwise in-story. Eddie's body was pulled in, so it would have been unnecessary to describe his suicide and the reasons for it. Ronnie, if his reappearance was even known beyond Team Flash, would appear to be another victim pulled into the singularity. Likewise Harrison Wells' disappearance could be explained as yet another victim of the singularity with possibly a side explanation of Wells tampering with dangerous science again, even behind the backs of his staff, thereby creating the singularity. The result is that none of the Reverse Flash and time travel stuff need to be explained, jeopardizing the survivors, especially Barry's identity.

Just gonna step in and defend my favorite superhero multiversal tv show a moment. Yes, I'd agree that the first two seasons were on point. Yes, some of the later seasons clearly do struggle to keep that momentum going and in places it does slip a little. To me, it's the difference between ranking an A and a B on a videogame. You'd obviously prefer the A but a B is still worth getting. And during later seasons, you still get the few episodes that rank an S and are absolutely not to be missed.

Obviously you've seen a few little out of context things from him popping up in Flash here and there but they've been either inconsequential or don't really make sense without the context so it's not a big deal. However, the stuff in Season 6 will straight up spoil the final season of Arrow for you. Dude that's awesome! What a wild season that was! Your first Flash reaction popped up on my feed a while back and I've been following along with it since! In the beginning my channel was mainly Arrowverse stuff for the longest time! haha It's nice seeing people still giving it a chance!

I watched the flash first as well, it really isn’t a big deal. The crossover episodes can get confusing, but they don’t really connect to the overall story of the season

You’re right about the seasons drop off. Season 1 is essentially a must watch. Season 2 and 3 are very very good and feel quite similar to season 1 in many ways. Season 2 has many peoples’ favourite villain and season 3 has a very elegant ending that some people even like to consider as the end of the show. Season 4 is also great with a couple issues creeping in but also some high highs. The best suit in the entire show, a compelling villain and some of the best scenes and episodes in the entire show. Season 5 has some problems but manages to be surprisingly charming and entertaining. Season 6 is truly where the decline is particularly noticeable. Its villains are half baked at best and I can hardly recall a single memorable episode but it’s still not unbearable. Season 7 is certainly not spectacular (especially its stupid fucking ending) but manages to capture at least a liiittle bit of the magic from the first few seasons. It also does have a shining episode or two that are notably enjoyable. Season 8 is entirely unremarkable, not particularly good, not particularly bad. Season 9 is a dumpster fire aside from 2 or 3 episodes. The first villain is the worst in the whole series and the second does not deliver what it’s trying to. Aside from the 2 episodes that tie into the overarching story and the time loop episode, it’s a bit of a slog. This show will always have a special place in my heart (despite its many faults) and I love getting to see people experience it for the first time ❤

Hi Robin, when you have finished episode 8 (maybe you already have) the next episode is a crossover with Arrow, it's Arrow season 4 episode 8. Then you can resume The Flash Season 2 as normal.
