Ave Satani is the theme song to the 1976 film The Omen, which is composed by Jerry Goldsmith. The Omen won the Academy Award for Best Original Score, with Ave Satani nominated for Best Original Song. I believe it's the only song to be nominated for an Oscar that has all its lyrics in Latin.

As you review more classic movies, you will see that the "slow" pace was the way they used to make movies, to build suspense, make you think, and feel emotions. It may seem slow, but when these movies were out we didn't think of them that way- it was as you saw, intense.

great reactions, especially the decapitation scene, story goes when they made the animal park scene, they trapped a baby baboon and put it in the car to lure the others to the car, it worked way better than they thought, and Lee Remick was terrified for real.

you have plenty to say throughout. An adoption at a...holy building, is less likely to have to be official, than under social services authorisation, they took advantage of his grief, when of course it was THEM that had killed his son, a group of Satanists posing as Priests & nun's, all the time. THE OMEN is a very important Super natural conspiracy thriller, intelligently made & therefore eerily believable, I love all the story layers to, the gradual build up of suspence & an ending that doesnt disappoint, no anti climax.

I first saw this film six months ago (shame on me!) and loved it. So many people told me it was “cheesy” - but I didn’t think that at all. What Damien did to his mother, and then tracing the origins back to the Middle East was horrifying to me, even in my late 30s

Anything but cheesy!. I'm always a little sad for people who get so jaded and desensitized to things that they can laugh while watching a movie like this, or the "E "movie and truly do not feel horror any more. Not you, the people you were describing!

Great reaction! The Omen is a classic and the third of what I call the Satanic trilogy consisting of Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist and the Omen. I saw the Omen as a nine year old way back upon first release in the theater and it has stayed with me ever since, the decapitation scene is something you can never un see. I highly recommend the sequel, it is very good but I would not say the same for the third or the shitty remake. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

you need to watch the series. very good. Anti-christ builds his empire. Jurassic Park Sam Neill as the antichrist. the 'disturbing' feel amplifies through the story. Another creepy Peck movie is "The Boys From Brazil'.

Just discovered your channel, & watched a few of your earlier reactions - Alien 1&2, the Exorcist - admire your willingness to branch out to try new things. Might I suggest "The Babadook"? It's a quiet, psychological horror film - no gore, no gunfights, no explosions - but creepy as hell. More of an allegory than a conventional horror film, but beautifully done. "Jacob's Ladder" is pretty creepy, too, with sort of a twist at the end. Just saying.

The other 2 tell Damian's whole story! I'd say there are 4 similar must-see horror classics that scared the hell out of us '70s kids if haven't seen. In order: Rosemary's Baby ('69), The Exorcist ('73), This/The Omen, & The Amityville Horror (78/79?). Rosemary's Baby director's wife Sharon Tate murdered by Manson Family right after released & was filmed inside extremely exclusive Dakota in NYC where John Lennon lived & was later killed. 🤘👹❤

I thought the sequel wasnt bad (although you cold tell it was a different Director) the deaths werent as shocking, inevitably, but it did continue the on going theme okay, I also liked the right of passage thing, Damien realising who he is & his destiny, the 2nd film was atmospheric to in a similar way to the original.

This is a very intense film, it's a slow build that makes it compelling. One of the more effective ways to build tension is that it uses actual biblical references to foretell the events that will occur in the future. I liked your reaction to this film, other reactors that I've seen really talk too much or try (unsuccessfully) to be witty and funny but all they really do is ruin the experience.

This is just a movie. one that scared me when i was a young pup. But for men the harsh reality is that fathers find out after years, they raise children that are not theirs. It happens quite often these days sadly. Also for wealthy and influential people adopting a child or doing whatever they wish is not that hard. And if I may make a suggestion, maybe You'd like to watch Jacob's Ladder from 1990. It's a horror movie ofc.
