I saw Arnold in an interview sitting in a make-up chair, being made up for a scene in which the terminator's face was already badly damaged. He told the interviewer, "My basic problem in movies is that I'm too handsome, so they always have to use make-up to tone it down."

1. Linda Hamilton ROCKED. She's really built in T2. "Terminator 2 Judgement Day" is the action movie GOAT. 2. Along with Lance Henriksen/Vukovich, Michael Biehn/Reese and Bill Paxton/punk also played in "Aliens" as Bishop, Hicks and Hudson respectively. 3.We have limited AI now. So does China.😱 4. If this wasn't a movie the ammunition would not have been available on the gun shop counter. 5. Ginger's boyfriend Matt must be a lousy lay if she needs rock and roll to "rock and roll".🙄 6. The Terminator is possibly the greatest "B-movie" ever made. By that i mean, it is the greatest low-budget sci-fi ever produced. The Terminator is a great inspiration for future filmmakers. Cameron showed us what can be possible on a small budget and its freaking amazing. T2 on the other hand is the greatest action movie ever made. Cameron showed us whats possible once youve established yourself in the industry. And its freaking phenomenal. I just wish we could get a new 5.1 remix for The Terminator. The .45 longslide should sound like a freaking cannon. The audience should be just as shocked and stunned by that weapon as the 35 year old Sarah Connors neighbors after the Terminator blew her head off. Theres an interesting deleted scene revealing the aftermath where Sarah Connors neighbors are running around in complete panic mode. But the newest 5.1 remix makes all of these bad**s weapons sound like squeaky toys, including the shotguns. You cant feel anything from a sound effect like that.

I personally like the Special Edition and so does Arny. 😉 Up to you, of course, but the Ultimate does kinda ruin something (can't say without spoiling). Wait until T2. Best of the entire franchise, in my humble opinion. In T2 you'll see a major transformation of Sarah Connor from fairly useless waitress to a female action hero. To me second only to Sigourney Weaver as Ripley from Alien franchise as female action hero role model in modern cinema. Because Hollywood didn't write much for women back then as their own entity and hero without needing a man to save them.

The Terminator and the sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (one of the best sequels in cinematic history, and even better than the original, in my opinion) certainly hold up very well in this day and age. In fact, they are even more relevant nowadays with the emergence and rapid development of artificial intelligence; Sky Net and the dawn of malicious machines are right around the corner!

Stealth sequences are ***rare*** to see in movies because most of the time it feels too fake or like it's delaying time until the character is "caught" & eventually chased. But Kyle sneaking through the shopping outlet, stealing some Sneakers & a coat, hiding from the cops; parkouring his way down to ground level, stealing a second weapon & walking away casually to find a phone book is one of the better depictions of Stealth ever presented on film, lol :3 Plus he does it naturally since he's spent his life hiding from robots.

The reason this movie acknowledges the works of Harlan Ellis was actually added to the movie when it was released on VHS. Long story short, when Harlan Ellis saw the movie, he did a plagiarism lawsuit against James Cameron. Cameron wanted to fight it, but the studio said that if he did, he was on his own. As this was his first movie, he didn't have the money he does today (heck, the opening sequence of Terminator 2 cost more than the entire first movie even after adjustment for inflation) he was forced to let the studio settle, and the 'acknowledgement' was what they agreed to. All in all, they have both involve a solider in a future war that travels back in time... James Cameron to this day HATES Ellis and that the studio forced him to acknowledge him like that (most people who know of him Hate Ellis He was a brilliant writer, but a terrible person especially after how he treated the female presenter at the Hugo Awards in 2006.) because if he'd had the money to fight the accusation, he absolutely would have won the lawsuit, but he just couldn't take the risk.
@robertc.195810 ай бұрын
@ragabashmoon1551: It's Harlan EllisON, NOT Ellis. No, it was BEFORE the movie was even released that Ellison got wind of the production and what the story was, and threatened to sue. The "Acknowledgement to the works of Harland Ellison" WAS in the original theatrical release. Sure, respect to Harlan Ellison for his writing skill, BUT - he was a REAL asshole about this. While James Cameron may have SLIGHTLY been influenced by reading "Soldier Out of Time" ( Harlan Ellison's short story, ) or seeing "The Outer Limits" episode "Soldier" ( adapted by Ellison himself from "Soldier Out of Time" ) - the basis of Ellison's threatened lawsuit - it makes MORE sense that he had been influenced by a combination of brilliant movies - 1) 'Westworld' [ 1973, written AND directed by famed screenwriter/director/book author ( who also did the movie book version of 'Westworld' ) Michael Crichton ( of "The Andromeda Strain," "Jurrasic Park," ect. fame, ) and featuring a seemingly unstoppable android killer ( "The Gunslinger" - played by Yul Brynner; ) ] AND 2) 'Colossus: The Forbin Project' ( 1970 ) - featuring an AI that becomes self-aware, joins with another ( but from a rival country ) AI, and takes over the whole world ( based on the first of a set of three books by author D.F. Jones. )
