I like how when Optimus banishes Megatron, you can see his optics flickering and hear his voice break. He's crying. Even then, there was still a little bit of D-16 left, who still regrets what Megatron did. Truly tragic.

The irony is, Optimus is pretty much to blame for how things turned out. He chose to jump in the path of D-16's shot, thus causing him to accidentally blast Pax and give him a mortal wound (if ripping sentinel in half was enough to kill him, I do not see Pax surviving having nearly half of his torso shot away). And the guilt and anger and frustration of it all made D-16 snap, dropping Pax and going crazy enough that once he killed sentinel, that was no longer enough and he started blasting the city of anything resembling sentinel like the statues and such.... Then back comes Optimus Prime and has the gal of Judging D-16, now Megatron, for shooting him (which was Pax's own fault) and going crazy (which was also Pax's fault) And for killing Sentinel Prime (which was absolutely what had to happen... the guy killed the original primes, sold the entire species out to the enemy And crippled all the miners before they came online by taking away the cogs they where born with... he had to die for what he's done and Megs was as deserving as anyone of getting to do the deed). So yeah, Optimus/Pax made the autobot/decepticon civil war happen. Oups?

@@James-nr2hi How was he being a lunatic? He was consumed by a desire for revenge sure but that seems entirely reasonable given what Sentinel's done to D-16 and everyone else. The one who wouldnt listen to reason was Pax because the man literally compared what D-16 was doing to said Sentinel, the fact that he would even compare their actions is crazy and no wonder D-16 stopped listening to him at that point. Jumping in the way of his shot was pure lunacy on Pax's part and it drove D-16 over the edge because yeah he went crazy after that but honestly why blame him when Pax literally gave his life to stop him from doing what Should have been done in the first place And then judged D-16 for what was Pax's own choice to jump into the path of that blast and the consequences thereof. And its not like this is out of character for Pax in the movie, the bot has been making unwise, unsafe and sometimes downright sanity defying choices throughout the entire movie, dragging D-16 and others along for the ride and sure, things worked out in the end due to dumb luck, which is how he wound up a Prime.

He threw himself off a building in an attempt to kill Sentinel when there were definitely safer and less reckless ways to take him down. He recklessly fired his cannon at Sentinel later in the fight, nearly hitting innocent civilians, a fact that he showed no concern about whatsoever. And when Pax got in his way he was very quick to resort to violence rather than have an actual conversation. D was not in his right mind. For a fair reason but that doesn't change his behaviour. Then there is Pax, you are grossly misrepresenting what he said. He was telling D that killing him wasn't needed, which is true. He said that rebuilding their home shouldn't start with an execution, which it shouldn't. That sends the wrong message about what you are trying to do. Which brings us perfectly to when he said the bit about not being like Sentinel. While it definitely could have been said better, it isn't entirely without reason. Sentinel killed anyone that got in his way in his attempts to gain power. So killing him to take power was already approaching his behaviour and considering D's unstable mental state it was fair to say "Hey man, let's just chill out for a second." And this is only further backed up by how quickly D when full megalomaniac. I'm sorry to say but your friend dying while attempting to stop you from killing someone is not justification for you to become a dictator. You'd think that'd be common sense but here you are. Also Pax didn't blame D for him jumping in front of the shot. He blamed D for refusing to listen, he blamed D for dropping him to an abyss and he blames he for turning into megalomaniac. All of which are D's fault. Not Pax's.

There’s 3 Things I have to clarify, 1. I’m ok with the Quintessons not showing up, I’m aware how much of a Threat they are but the whole point of this Movie is how Optimus Prime and Megatron began the Formation of the Autobots and Decepticons, IF the Quintessons had appeared more often it would ruin the Film and we won’t get any Sentinel Screen Time, 2. Elita wasn’t the one that had the Idea of using Arachnid to Expose Sentinel, It was Orion who did a Quick Thinking when Arachnid said “I can see Everything” showing how Clever Pax is with his Sharp Edge and Mind, and 3. Bee was done good enough, I get that the Character didn’t evolve but Bee has done Well Enough, his presence is literally the Beginning to Pax and D16’s Journey to who they are destined to become as it was a Red Flag when they found out that there’s 50 Sub Levels instead of 40, his Creation Steve has the Map, and while I thought he was going to ruin the Movie with the Comic Relief I’m surprised there’s Layers of Humanity especially when Sentinel captures him and Dee and Dee stood up when Bee didn’t want him to stand up because he doesn’t want to see his Friends Hurt, like the Quintessons I’m pretty sure Bee will Develop especially when he losses his Voice in the War, anyway this Movie was amazing, not only is it one of the Best Movies of 2024, but it’s clearly the Best Transformers Movie of all Time, the Voice Casting was Great, the Story with the Evolution of Optimus Prime and Megatron is Interesting and Heartbreaking, Sentinel Prime is one of the Best Modern Villains in a Long Time that he’s definitely giving Homelander Vibes, and the Animation and Setup are Flawless, 10 out of 10, I’m hoping this gets a Trilogy because it deserves it and I would love to see more content from this and the Franchise.

When you really think about it, Sentinel's plan to take cogs away from bots before they came online has one massive "hole" in it. As far as the Miners know, they've always been cogless. If that were the case, why would the slot be there in the first place? It should be just a flat surface. All it would take to unravel that half of the plan is simply to ask a bot with a cog if they always had one. Of course, they'd have no way of finding out WHY they dont have cogs unless they saw the excahnge with the Quintessons themselves, but it would be enough to raise suspicion. Now I'm not saying that Pax and the others are stupid, but if Pax is as passionate about his potential as he is, why would he not take the time to consider why he and the rest have cog slots, but don't have cogs. It's not THAT hard to look inwards, buddy. There's a hole in your chest.

There's a reason nearly all TF shows have more memorable human characters than the films. Transformers one was good cause it had good writing period. Not because there wasn't any humans. Beast machines and the WFC trilogy both had no humans and both stories failed in their executions. Cybertronians themselves are written like humans because of how humanoid they are, one can fail to write a TF character in the same fashion they can fail to write a human character.

17:13 the robot design style feels closer to the G1 style. I almost didn’t give this movie a shot cause of Chris Hemsworth. I wasn’t sure if he could do the Optimus role well. I saw they went with him instead of Peter Cullen cause they needed a younger voice for Orion Pax and Optimus since it was so early in the story. I actually think he did a pretty good job. Megatron was originally a gun because of the Microchange toyline they imported to create part of the Transformers along with the vehicles from the Diaclone line, both Takara properties. They chose the gun to be the bad guy leader because guns are bad and scary was the logic. Supposedly the old games may be remastered

There are soooooooooooooo many Easter Eggs (especially from the G1 era) that it would literally take way too much time to go through the full list. I love the animation and art style, very cool designs. I would love to see a sequel to this movie. But sadly I don't think that there will be. Hasbro has severed all ties to funding any more movie projects due to the poor box office results that this movie received. But it really feels like Hasbro and the studios wanted this movie to fail, EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE BEST TRANSFORMERS MOVIE!!!! The marketing was garbage, they released it at a bad time,... heck even the toys associated with it are garbage (for the most part). It would be up to Paramount and associated studios to make any more sequels, because Hasbro has washed their hands of any future movies to do with any of their products. Transformers, GI Joe, D&D, the other toys and games... no more movies funded, because of just how underperformed this movie did. And it is such a travesty, this is the movie that should have sequels. I only consider the Bumblebee movie a true Transformers live action movie. The rest of them I no longer consider canon any more. It would be Transformers One #1, the original 86 movie #2 and Bumblebee third,... that's it. And, as for my favourite Transformers characters, there are just way too many to choose from.
