I have more than a few words to say about the Bay movies but you can't deny that the designs, special effects and CGI were top tier in this movie, somehow better than a lot of the stuff we're getting now!

A lot of the CGI and special effects are so good because Michael Bay always uses practical effects as well. People really underestimate Bay for his cinematography skills, there's a reason why so many other renowned directors love his work.

This was the movie that turned me into a massive Transformers fan, I have watched it more times than any other movie I can think of. But the best TF series is Transformers Prime Imao. Def worth a try if you like TF in general. War for Cybertron is also a great series, showing the war between the Decepticons and the Autobots on their homeworld before they found Earth.

Funny thing is, if you know the lore well, you'll know the Decepticons are actually closer to being the good guys then the autobots. Back on their planet, Cybertron, the Primes ruled and enslaved their kind, made them workers and gave them no freedom. Megatron and his Decepticons were rebels that broke free and want to kill the Primes and live free of being ruled over.

Megatron started because he wanted a better world where they weren't defined by their alt modes (which was pretty bad), or so his class weren't slaves anymore, depending on which continuity you're in. So the decepticons started out as the good guys until megatron eventually goes tyrannical.

Well Optimus and Megatron wanted the same thing but wanted to get there differently. Megatron was much more violent and soon became straight evil as did all the other Deceptions so the Autobots are definitely still the good guys

I've watched ROTF maybe over 2000 times and I never get bored... maybe i have a disorder of some sort but I have watched it soooo many times and know the lines aaaaaalmost by heart. Some of my favourite scenes is when mikaela catches sam and then their escape to Egypt. Funny story: my dad loved Transformers back in the 80s. So, for one of his birthdays, my brother and I got him a toy Optimus Prime that can transform into a truck. It sat on a shelf in the office and my dad was so proud of having it. One day, we had one of the PTA moms come over and saw it on the shelf. "Oh, is that your brother's?" "Oh no, that's dad's." I said. She laughed, "Even better!" It was also fun going around seeing cars with Autobot stickers and Decepticon stickers. Made me and my brother giddy.

Fun fact the soldiers in this film were taught actual codes and training by real military soldiers. which just makes this film so much better. also my favorite character from this film is Ironhide (he's the GMC pickup truck for reference). Fun fact #2 the guy who Megatron flicks away is actually micheal bay himself.

I lost it when I saw the teaser trailer for this movie. It showed footage of Mars with a silhouette of a transformer and I was already hyperventilating and slapping my friend Marcus before the title card finally took over the screen, blasting music through the theater. If you like Michael Bay’s films, you have to react to at least the first 2 Bad Boys movie. The first Bad Boys was his directorial debut, and the second one is classic over the top Michael Bay ridiculousness. They’re both such great popcorn flicks, and are just a lot of fun. Honestly Optimus Prime is and always be my favorite of all the Transformers. I had to write a timed essay on “what courage means” in middle school and I used him as an example 😂. HOWEVER…outside of the Bay movies, I was also a massive fan of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker growing up. Twins usually wind up becoming my favorite characters, as long as they’re written well.

Def looking forward to RotF 👀 Since you mentioned this was up next on the list, I decided to rewatch all the movies myself in order EXCEPT for the first one, which I left for last. This was unintended, but gave me an amazing effect of seeing how the story cohesion drops with each entry vs the first movie. This one is definitely peak in terms of story, and humour tbh. As the series progresses they just get more and more focused on the action, so just...don't think about the plot too hard. The music remains fire for all of them though!

Nice video! It's honestly crazy to me (I'm 20) and having grown up with the Transformers and Marvel movies, it really gives a lot of nostalgia, and always conveyed to me as a kid that movies could do anything. The movies may have their issues and always will, but when these came out I remember the immense amount of hype all the way up to dark of the moon and I will always treasure those years. I had low expectations of Transformers, but this movie is just plain good. The characters, action, story, all work so well together, and it was a genuine surprise how well it's made. Sadly, the sequels come across as someone trying to emulate rather than expand this start, and become increasingly dull and repetitive. This one is great though.

I’ve been a huge fan of transformers for 25 years when I started watching the cartoons in 1998, when I heard they were making a live action transformers movie I was so excited I could die, the first one was kind of great, the second was chaos, third was a maybe, and the fourth was actually one of my favorites cause they finally added the Dinobots but even though some hated it, and the fifth was disappointing, but the reboot for bumblebee got me in tears since I’ve been waiting for this for my whole life, the g1 look and everything which was a huge part of my childhood. The live action ones were not that good but I liked some of them and shout-out the Peter Cullens(voice of optimus prime)81st Bday🥳🥳🥳🥳

My favourite was Soundwave for decepticons, and Jazz for Autobots. Transformers is is name of the show and sometime their called Tranformers but their species name is Cybertronians, the Mini ones are called Minicons.

These movies are objectively mid (especially the 2nd and 5th movies), but damn if they aren't entertaining nonetheless. I really like the 3rd one, despite it being no less batshit insane than the rest of them. I'm just a huge fan of Michael Bay's filmmaking style. He ain't perfect, and his scriptwriters aren't that good, but god damn if the man doesn't direct a visually striking film every damn time.

The movies are great, i think This one and bumblebee are the best out of all of them but you gotta watch transformers prime, it’s probably the best representation of transformers out there and it even got its own movie and spin off show, those weren’t too great tho

Because the Transformers franchise is actually great and the movies don't reflect that whatsoever I highly recommend the show Transformers Prime instead which is incredible.

If you were to ask most people they would say that they are stupid popcorn movies with zero depth. I mean they were directed by Michael Bay for God's sake what else did you expect.

I absolutely love that I got to this franchise with a pretty superficial knowledge of Transformers but a fierce love for the Transformers themselves the way only a kid has with his toys. My expectations for plot were truly nothing I just wanted cool robot battles like the ones I imagined in my head as a kid as I smashed my toys against each other, and this movie delivered that beyond my wildest expectations

I love Transfomers 07 watched it since I was around 5 years old I'm 19 now I've watched it over a million times since I was 5 I can hear all the sound effects and lines in my head before they say them. I get goosebumps from all the lines and sound effects it's insane I've seen it that many times. I could watch it all day definitely a top favourite of mine for sure.
