The people that they showed at the end taking the masks off who had previously died represented the fact that he couldn't do it alone, for it to be a true and successful revolution required sacrifice by many people, and the people who continued on represent those that had fallen.

Honestly, I have no idea how many times I've seen this movie, and it never ever gets old. Whenever it is on TV I can't help but watch it. Evey's reborn scene and the musical score by Dario Marianelli stirs such emotion in me every time. The transitions between V being freed by anger and fire from prison and Evey being being freed by love and the rain from the shackles of fear are just epic. ❤

All the people who died throughout the film were shown at the end was a symbolic way to show it took everyone to come together and sacrifice to get here. Also you'll love this: Robert Catesby was the man who came up with the idea of blowing up parlement that Guy Fawks was famous for. Well, Kit Harrington (Jon Show) is catesby's direct descendant. Harrington even played the character in the HBO miniseries Gunpowder, which covered the historical story.

This movie is loosely based on the " gunpowder Plot " of 1605, which is a true story of Guy Fawkes (the mask) and others who tried to blow-up the House of Lords in England. After being caught they were hung, drawn and quartered.

In New Zealand (also the rest of the commonwealth), on the 5th of november we acknowledge Guy Fawkes and the gun powder plot. For the preceeding week the sale of fireworks is allowed (for the rest of year they are not legally sold) and we light it up like fourth of july. of course most of us save some of those fireworks for use on new years eve. every year since i saw this movie I have rewatched it at some point in the first week of november.

Deadpool and V are anti-heros. They aren't bad guys of course, but they aren't afraid to cross over some morally grey lines to do what needs to get done. Honestly anti-heros are way cooler then regular heroes I think.

Hey Major, the people that they showed @ the end that had died, they didn't survive. It was showing that V fought against the government for all the people including everyone who died. England celebrates Guy Fawkes Day every year on the 5th of November. Great reaction..😊 Hey, Django Unchained is a great movie, although it might be a "one & done" for u, knowing how u feel about certain topics. Guess we'll see.😊

November 5th is known as Bonfire Night in the UK, in memory of Guy Fawkes' attempt to blow up Parliament. It is celebrated with fireworks.

He’s heroic and what he did to Evey is unforgivable for me. I just think at his core, the mask, and everything else, stems from horrific trauma.

IDEAS ARE BULLETPROOF! Very underrated phrase but it is as true as anything you get has happened in history. Ideas led to creation, invention, democracy, and pretty much everything that has impacted all of our lives

🇵🇭 Our president advocated for extremist action against drugs, as in "suspected" dealers/addicts were being dropping dead left and right. And then the pandemic hit and the death toll just kept going up. He disliked being criticized by the country's MAJOR tv network, so they got their licensed revoke. Safe to say this movie hit me a lot harder when I rewatched it in 2020 😅

Freedom, anti-tyranny, and anti-evil is what V represented. So, V and the ideas he represented was everyone he represented, alive or dead (even if they forgot). That's kinda what that last scene was supposed to represent.

One thing this movie DEFINITELY changed for me is that I get pumped every time I hear Street Fighting Man. It's a great movie for a lot of reasons, but that song in particular took on a new meaning after I saw it for the first time.

The graphic novel is actually REALLY different to the movie. I met the writer Alan Moore and he wasn't a fan of the film, but I love it!! It's also more "friendly" I suppose, the comic is much darker. For example in the comic, Evey was out for prostitution, not just to have dinner with her boss. But the movie is a favourite for me. Hugo Weaving (also in the Matrix) did such an amazing job portraying emotion without ever seeing his face

Explanation: Punisher is an anarchist written by someone who thinks anarchy is a bad idea. V is an anarchist written by someone who thinks anarchy is a good idea. Punisher thinks that destroying the government will make life worse for most people, and wants to do it anyway because he blames constitutional rights for the death of his family. V wants to destroy the government because he thinks it will make things better for others.
