I remember every day I would turn on th TV to watch Nickelodeon hut the first channel would be the news, and there was just this huge amount of deaths, one for the world and one for the US. My sister didn't understand at the time. She constantly asked my family and I why the numbers were growing. She almost died. I'll never forget that year.

I saw tbis at the midnight premiere. That theater was SILENT from fright at how crazy these zombies were. Only Dawn of the Dead 2004 and 28 Days later had them making people shook. (And yes i know theyre not actually zombies in 28 Days later, but its classified as a Zombie movie)
@dazd62676 ай бұрын
It's from a book, but the book has absolutly nothing to do with the movie. Gerry Lane is an investigator tho.. And the guy in Israel I guess... The book is really really good, so unique and close to the reality. When you read it, you feel like it could actually happen.( Even if the Zombies are very slow). You go through the patient Zero, the world trying to prepare, everything going to hell, humanity losing the war, then trying to survive and then they fight back, It's amazing.
@CortexNewsService6 ай бұрын
It is. And the movie, on its own, is great too. But the disconnect between the book and the movie is jarring for anyone who's read the book
@thenecrosanct49066 ай бұрын
It's very loosely based on a book that reads like an alternative history (and is a sort of sequel to 'The Zombie Survival Guide'). It goes deep into geopolitical and social aspects of a world overrun by zombies, how governments would react to it. It would be really cool to see a TV show that delves into this, looking at a zombie outbreak on a global scale, the different ways of countries to deal with it, how society would change, etc. As much as I like a good zombie movie (you are right, '28 Days Later' is a good one), I would be really cool to see a zombie movie/show with brains (pun intended) instead of just gore and action.

3:22 to answer this question it actually depends on where your bit. Basically a few hours by a neck/arm to maybe a day by the leg. The quickest way to turn into a walker is just becoming dead without damaging the brain which can take around 1-3 minutes. To explain that way, the virus lays dormant in your brain as it’ll only take affect once you die. That’s as simple as I can get.

I truly feel if this hadn't been named after the book, it would have been much better received. The book is basically a fictional history book about how we survived a zombie apocalypse, and it's sequel is interviews with people about the important historical events that occurred. There are some elements that made the transition, north Korea detonating their population for example. (And the fears there's tunnels and bunkers filled with millions of N Korean army zombies underground somewhere)

I think the reason these zombies are so fast and strong is because there are no longer any limitations on their bodies and the virus is somehow just allowing the brain to dump adrenaline and noradrenaline into their bodies. So it's basically like fighting human beings at nearly the peak of their physical potential because of that.
