Yeah it's way different in the Walking Dead, since you can turn to a zombie just by dying, without getting bitten. It also takes longer to turn, because the bite gives you fever and you'll die from it.

In the book the zombies are slow. The war lasts for nearly a decade. And the story is told after a decade of human victory through interviews and newspaper clips. The virus had various outbreaks throughout history even in the BC era but they were small in scale. You should read it

It's from a book, but the book has absolutly nothing to do with the movie. Gerry Lane is an investigator tho.. And the guy in Israel I guess... The book is really really good, so unique and close to the reality. When you read it, you feel like it could actually happen.( Even if the Zombies are very slow). You go through the patient Zero, the world trying to prepare, everything going to hell, humanity losing the war, then trying to survive and then they fight back, It's amazing.

It's very loosely based on a book that reads like an alternative history (and is a sort of sequel to 'The Zombie Survival Guide'). It goes deep into geopolitical and social aspects of a world overrun by zombies, how governments would react to it. It would be really cool to see a TV show that delves into this, looking at a zombie outbreak on a global scale, the different ways of countries to deal with it, how society would change, etc. As much as I like a good zombie movie (you are right, '28 Days Later' is a good one), I would be really cool to see a zombie movie/show with brains (pun intended) instead of just gore and action.

I truly feel if this hadn't been named after the book, it would have been much better received. The book is basically a fictional history book about how we survived a zombie apocalypse, and it's sequel is interviews with people about the important historical events that occurred. There are some elements that made the transition, north Korea detonating their population for example. (And the fears there's tunnels and bunkers filled with millions of N Korean army zombies underground somewhere)

3:22 to answer this question it actually depends on where your bit. Basically a few hours by a neck/arm to maybe a day by the leg. The quickest way to turn into a walker is just becoming dead without damaging the brain which can take around 1-3 minutes. To explain that way, the virus lays dormant in your brain as it’ll only take affect once you die. That’s as simple as I can get.

One of my favorite books was a Steve King book called 'Cell'. It's a cool take on zombies that I feel like people sleep on. His son, Joe Hill has some cool stories too. Joe's comic series 'Locke and Key' was really good too. They did a Netflix show that was okay imo but his stories are really good. ✌️😎

This is my favorite zombie movie. I love the way it starts in such a mundane way and you see the progression from a single perspective. I also like stories that feature intelligent people. The stupid people are going to die quickly (and do), so there is no reason to follow them. I also like the more forensic approach rather than focusing on random gore for the sake of random gore. Train To Busan is a close second for me. A car crash would need to be far more severe to sustain cuts and other abrasions. As shown they would only have latent bruising from airbags, seatbelts, and from any other immediate contact. Unless you happen to be transporting an aquarium or a bucket of razor blades inside the car. If you suffer a stab wound you only leave the object in if you are able to remain motionless and receive immediate medical care with minimal relocation to the facility, preferably by trained professionals. If you're in danger or need to immediately vacate the area for any reason you need to remove the object and close the wound as best as possible, even if that means duct tape or something that can be used as a make-shit suture. The wound is going to bleed anyway, but leaving the object in will cause further tissue damage and prevent the wound from draining until coagulation begins, which also has a cleansing effect.
