I got really into the zombie craze when I was like just hitting double digits age wise and somewhere in there one of my parents or maybe grandparents took me to see this in theaters. To this day it is the only movie I've ever walked out on(by the end of the opening credits I was shooketh) and among the few things I've ever seen or experienced that has managed to give me repeated nightmares. I enjoy the movie and don't have that issue now, but it has consistently stuck with me as one of the most tense and scary movies ever made(part of the reason I didn't fall in love with the sequel the same way, it's a capital C in Comedy and really only goes into horror territory in a few scenes) and definitely the scariest zombie movie ever made in my personal opinion.

I haven’t had a Twinkie since I was a kid, decades ago (let’s leave it at that), and they weren’t my favorite, at all, but I liked them well enough. A childhood favorite that I still like and eat are chocolate Swiss Rolls by Little Debbie. It’s embarrassing how much I like and enjoy those.

FYI…I live in Tallahassee which is in Florida and Wild Adventures in Valdosta Georgia which is where the theme park scene was filmed is only an hour and a half away from Tally. I loved Twinkies as kid but don’t care for them as an adult.

The amusement park in this movie is actually 5 miles away from where I live in Valdosta, Georgia. Great memories at this park and really trippy seeing it in this movie😂

My favorite part of this movie is the joke in the beginning about Garland, Texas. Because i live in Garland and can confirm it does look like zombies took it over. 😂 These characters are so good and the comedy is great. Definitely one of my favorite zombie movies. And the sequel is actually good as well, which is pretty rare in horror/comedy.
