First Timers Guide to K'gari - Fraser Island

We are lucky enough to live in Hervey Bay, on the door step of beautiful K'gari aka Fraser Island. And we make the most of this by regularly visiting the Island multiple times every year. So it was a great pleasure of mine to be a guide and showcase the island to my sisters family for their fist ever visit to K'gari.
We showed the tourist hotspots to give them a taste of what the island is all about. we showed, Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Pile Vally, Central Station, Eli Creek, The Maheno Ship Wreck, Champaign pools, and Wathumba Creek.

OMG so great to see you guys again. We went to K'gari last month and it was a bit disappointing with all the weed around. made the fishing impossible. But cant wait to go back wooohoooo

Hi mate. Yes the weed makes fishing very difficult to impossible. That’s why didn’t spent too much time on it. Good thing there is plenty of other things to do.

Yeah mate, we are seeing more and more of them lately. Lucky they’ve all been non- venomous. Except for the dead sea snake.

Thanks Nas. Long breaks between uploads for me now. I think 4 days minimum but the more the better. There is a lot to do over there.

What time of year did you go? Do you think theres a prime time? We will be travelling this year forat time in our 4WD

@@rochellematthew4679 hi mate. This trip was around this time (mid-late Jan). But I’ve been just about every single month and it’s always good. Around September is prob my top pick mostly because the Tailor fishing is good around then. But we go whenever we get the chance.
